Good day

In a few hours time it will be the countdown to 2014. I wish everybody a very best 2014 with enough of everything and hope you can become a star where every you are.
This week's challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle is to use your favourite digi. This is moonrider from QKR Stampede, which I've done a few months ago and just re-post for this challenge. I just love this cutie and felt it quite appropriate for this weeks challenge and wish for everybody. My paper is from the Detour collection from BoBunny the sentiment is also from QKR Stampede.

Hope you'll come and show off your favourite digi at our challenge.

Thank you and blessings.
Olga

Ps. I see there is a delay on our challenge. I believe Trisha is still in bed with flu. Sorry about that.

With Love on Christmas Glitter 'n Sparkle # 64

Good day

It is Sunday and it is time for another challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle. This time we challenge you for a non-traditional colours Christmas project.  I got Disney Fan from Sassy Studio Design. I remember Daisy Duck with the bright red polka dot bow and decided to use pink and black. Then I found this glitter polka dot paper in my All About Girls Stack from DCWV. It is somewhere between purple and pink. The border is from Spellbinder and a peel off sentiment. I tried the foil technique on the balloons, but ended up correcting it with glitter.

Challenges I'm joining:
Sassy Studio Design #208 - Sparkle & Shine
Cute Card Thursday #300 - Celebrations
Tuesday Morning Sketches #229 - Sketch
Little Red Wagon - Non Traditional Colours
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #42 - Make it Sparkle

Thank you for your visit and hope you'll come and join us for your final Christmas projects.

Another wedding card

Good day

When I saw these colour at the Outlawz it just fitted my idea for a wedding card. I also wanted to do something totally different so I found this tutorial over at Beccy's Place for a double diamond fold card. So the whole weekend I was playing with ideas. The sentiment is from Digistamp4Joy and I just added the surname and the digi on the right is from Beccy's place. The twist at the Outlawz is to add burlap or twine and I've found this piece in my stash. In the end I love the outcome of the mixed textures.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Paper Players #173 - Fancy Fold
Come and Get it - Anything goes with optional twist of digital image (& sentiment)
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge CC1119

You are so cool

Good Day

I had some mojo this past few days, so I did some catching up on my progressive challenges. This cute penguin and sentiment are progressive freebies from Sonia at SK digis. I was just inspired by the snow theme and use a emboss folder and some DP from Special Delivery by Helz Cuppleditch.

My Tip: When I saw Annette's tip I thought I can just add on to it. I normally use Microsoft Powerpoint to play with my digis. After selecting your image, you go to your top bar and choose format. Then you can choose your re-colour option and you can change your digi's colour to any other colour of choice. By choosing a light grey, you can make colouring more real.
The other option after selecting your image, is by turning it to the other side.... so it can look into the direction you want it to, without changing your sketch.

Challenges I'm joining:
SKdigis November Progressive Challenge
Top Tip Tuesday #114 - Borrowed Sketch
Cards und More - Baby, It's cold outlside
Divas by Design - Something Snowy
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #153 - Add a Sentiment

Thank you for you visit and comment. I do appreciate.

Glitter 'n Sparkle # 58 Autumn Colours

Digi from The Stamping Chef

Digi from Sandi Samples called Madison

Good Day

It is Sunday and time for another challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle. This time we are asking you to play with autumn colours. Very easy when you stay in the northern hemisphere, but I believe the first snow has already fallen, so some of you are already in a more blue, white and red mood. Here, we are experiencing summer. Just love it and our holiday is not that far away.
For today's card I was given Bite Me from The Stamping Chef. Great image except for the skulls, that I have disguised under my pearls. I am not fond of skulls. I've coloured the image with Aquarelles and some chalk for distressing. I first made a negative die from my Spellbinder beaded oval, in my card and the I used plain card stock for the frame which I had put into the negative die's place. Used some swirls from Marianne's design and used some more pearls for the flowerbuds to compliment my paper. Paper from Colorbök's Slpendour paper pack.

Challenges I'm joining:
Crazy 4 Challenges #C4C211 - Let's frame it!
Tuesday Morning Sketches #223 - Sketch
Stampin' for the Weekend - Autumn/fall colours
Crafting for all seasons #64 - Autmn/fall colours
Crafty Creations#247 - Autumn colours
Timeless Tuesday Flourish #245 - Negative energy

Thank you and please come and join us at Glitter 'n Sparkle.

Ain't this adorable

Good day

I hope I can get this posted, since we had a very big storm last week that hurt the telephone lines, so our internet is very slow and I still don't have a land line. I've printed this image last week and just didn't had time to finish it of before the deadline for a challenge. On Sunday I've finished it. The image is from Margy at Digistamp4Joy. Rhino's are currently an animal that will soon be extinct, because of the poachers killing them. Just in this year we had almost 700 killed....that gives you more than 2 a day. It is a very sad story, since the people, mainly in the East, buying it, think it is a sex stimulant, but it is the same substance than finger nails. I probably only sounds better to say we are drinking rhino horn than drinking nails.

Now, to my project. My animal print DP is from Safari Chic stack and normal to take 3 DP is a challenge by I had found this nice orange striped and texture carton in my stash and it complimented the image. Sentiment is from Desert Diva. I got these cute animal print buttons from Match up, but I had cut of the back loops to make it fit on the card.

Challenges I'm joining:
Digistamp4Joy #79 -3 x DP and 3 layers
365 Cards Day 303 - Starts with a R
C....for Challenge #9 - Buttons
Pile it on #44 - Animals with character
Digi Sketch Challenge: All for the animals (I've only taken the theme)
C.R.A.F.T Challenge #231 - For the boys
Crafts 4 Eternity R#148 - Sketch

Thank you and have a great day!

Sunday 3 November 2013

I was just looking

Good day

It is Sunday and it is also time for a new challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle. This time you need to add leaves. Luckily it is a more open theme for everybody since it can be fresh crisp spring leaves or more rusty autumn leaves. My Dp is from Colorbök's splendour paper pack. I used a Marianne's design leave die and some Spellbinder dies with some quilled flowers. I've got Gusty Oak flower pot to play with from Lacy Sunshine, one of the sponsors for this week's challenge. I had to admit I was super excited when I got this cutie, but then I struggled with the papers. In the end it came out not to shabby.
It is also with a sadness I took note that one of my favourite sketch challenge blogs will be closing at the end of the year. It was fun to play with a Die for a Sketch these past 2 years and I wish them all the best in their new pastures.

Challenges I'll be joining:
a Die for a Sketch #17 - Sketch
Divas by Design - Use some orange
Seize the Birthday - Birthday
Lacy Sunshine Challenge #20 - Anything goes
There she Goes TSG231 - Leaves

See you over at the Glitter 'n Sparkle Challenge to join in the fun.
Have a super day.

Good Day

It has been quite a while that I have this image from Bugaboo and I wanted to play with it. When I saw the anniversary challenge, this image came up. Then I struggled with the colour combo and yesterday I went through my papers in search for autumn colour I came upon this piece of fresh blue and green striped papers. Not quite what I had in mind the first round, but it all came together. I played with my Fiskar border punches with the diamonds and hearts. In the end I added a piece of washi tape on top and I used my latest edition of brads - diamond ring.
