Spring cleaning

Good day again!

I am using my time well, today.
This time I want to share a card I made for my sister-in-law. Just thinking of her, while she is getting ready for spring in Abu Dhabi.
My husband spoiled me with this Changito vacuum stamp from stampendous and when I received this paper, from "In the Meadow collection" with my Simply cards and papercraft magazine, that reminds me so much of my her, I just could not resist.
The paper still have a bit of end of winter feeling with the colours, but somehow you can almost see how the early blossoms are showing. I have used aquarelles to colour the image and used Nellie's multiframes to emphasize the image. The ribbon I received as a present and I used a Marianne design CreaTables to thread it through as well as to finish off the corner with some matching stones.

For all those who are seeing forward to spring enjoy.....I'm looking forward to my first winter in Africa, in 8 years and the first of the last 12 months.

A note out of the box

Good day!

I have been in and out of my craft room lately, but just did not had time to do some posting on my blog. Since it is a bit of a quiet Sunday afternoon, after South Africa has lost against England in the cricket, I thought I rather spend time to blog a bit.
The ladies at Cupcake Craft had a new challenge this week, "anything but square". I thought of using this opportunity to think a bit out of the box. I bought the note brads the other day and with the move I rediscovered my Fiskars Texture plates. So I used the base of a trapazuim and cutted the note form in black cardstock. The blue vellum is leftovers of my christmas cards, with which I used the texture plate: notes. I've finished the card off with a guitar stamp, stash I had to create myself and the note brads.

Hope you have a quiet Sunday afternoon as well.
