Butterflies & Fairy gift box

Top
Side
Perfect pearl wings

A quick hallo again!

It's been a while now since I've used any Magnolia stamp, though they are one of my favourite brands. For this gift box, I've used lilac carton and did some heat embossing on the side with some pearl powder, with a butterfly border stamp, before folding. Then I've played with some clippunches and diecuts. I used some blue and pink Perfect Pearl powder on the wings, which you only can see on a certain angle, but it sure give a fragile look on the wings. My image was coloured by aquarelles.
I used the following challenges as guide:
365 Cards day 119 feeling punchy
Just Magnolia week 112 butterfly theme
Mojo Monday 197 sketch
TSG Clear Stamp TSG113 to DIE for

Thank you and have a nice day!

A new adventure awaits

Hallo

Today, I've played with 3 challenges:
365 Cards day 118 for the sketch
Scrap Affair aperture card
CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC 8 getting edgy,
I've used my LeerĂ© Aldrich clear stamp for the image, which I've cut out. Then I've used 2 different Fiskar punches and a Nellie Snellen diecut for the aperture. The sentiment is my own and says: "A new adventure awaits you". The flowers is from my stash and it is more to brighten-up the card, to give it an exciting feeling.

Have a nice day!

Say it with a bit of patriotism

Hallo

It is a cold, windy day and with it a Sunday, that is normally lazy. I used the time to get a bit crafty with less disturbances and out of the usual cards I came up with this small CD gift box.

I've used normal blue carton to make the box, where after I've used my Crafter's Companion to make the scallops on the side. I've done some heat embossing in gold. Then on top there is green Angel Wing's paper, the red border punch is from Fiskar and the black is done with my latest edition Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment in Afrikaans says: " Just a message" is one of my oldest stamps and I did it also with some heat embossing in gold. The ribbon is from my stash, flags I've printed and I finished it off with some beads in flower design, to give it an African feeling. I still have to work on my photography skills, since the yellow ribbon shows gold and the gold sentiment shows black.
The challenges I'm entering is:
JUGS 90 : make a Patriotic 3D project, with 4th of July coming up, luckily you can be patriotic with your own country, so I've played with the colours of the South African flag.
Sweet Stampin' Callenge Blog : Something old, something new - sentiment stamp as old and Martha Stewart punch as new
365 Cards day 116 : Use one technique, one tool, and one embellishment that you are just crazy about on your card - punching, heat embossing and beads for embellishment
Moxie Fab World : Beautiful Borders - 2 different border punches

Thank you for visiting and have a nice day!

Enjoy a musical 50

Hi again

Another post for today. 3D is probably my favourite technique, but I do not do it often anymore. But for this special birthday, I have decided to page through all my designs and finally ended up with this one by Angelika and Sasch Wagener 2004. I was a bit guided with the sketch from the Cupcake Craft Challenge 147 sketcharoony, and used the musical emboss template from cuttlebug, some note brads and finished it off with some peel-offs. Paper is from TOGA and Brazill Basics.

Have a nice day!

Beads & flowers

Hallo

This is for a special friend that likes to do things a bit different, so it is always a bit of a challenge to make a card for her. So I played around with the sketch of 365 Cards day 111 and the colours of Just us Girls: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Aqua and So Saffran. I did some beading for a change and used flowers in my stash.
Somehow the card gives me a feeling of spring, something that is a distance away for us.

Hope you have a splendid day!

Panda birthday

Hallo

After a hectic week-end, I had some time to do some craft to rewind this morning.
I got this stamp, designed by Adam Pescott with my latest issue of Quick Cards and thought it cute to celebrate a first birthday. I have used the sketch of Sweet Sketch Wednesday 106 as guide and as mentioned, it is for a girl's first birthday. The image was coloured with aquarelles and the paper is from my stash and played with my sunburst fiskar punch.

Hope you have a peaceful week ahead.

My favourite.....

Hallo Everyone

From a very cold and unusual wet SA. Somehow, I had to brighten up the day so I played with some paper and came up with this card which I wanted to share with the following people:
- Penny Black at Allsorts's monthly challenge: Your my favourite
- 365 Cards day 99 It's my party: design a birthday card for yourself.
- Cupcake Craft Challenge Things with tails
- Mojo Monday 194 Sketch......my first time I join them.

I love red, white and green and the strawberries reminded me of summer in Europe with tennis at Wimbledon. The mice gives me a romantic feeling of which I am a sucker for.

Hope wherever you are....you have a splendid day full of love.

I love golf

Hallo

Here, it is a bit of greyish Monday afternoon, but I would like to share this card with you.  Got some guidelines from the girls at Just us Girls for this card. This little digistamp, just reminds me of our friend, whom celebrates his birthday today, and who loves golf. So I tried to make some paper that looks like golf balls and added some peel-off sentiment and coloured the image with aquarelles.

Have a splendid Monday.

Just a message

A quick hallo

I do have a bulletin board, but I have to keep messages all over my house to remind me of things...so with the ladies at 365 cards day 93 challenges I've made this small message board that resembles the one on my fridge.....for that quick reminders in the kitchen.

Coffe, Toffee or Vanilla

Day 92 - Cards 365- My Favourite Ice Cream

This is one of my favourite caracters: Changito from Stampendous. I had this stamp for quite a long time with the coffe paper, but finally had time to play with it.
Though it is winter here, coffe would go off better, I sometimes do the funny thing of eating ice cream in the middle of winter and normallyon the coldest day of the year.

Enjoy your day!

Autumn Leaves

Good day

A bit abstact today I've tried to use the challenge of 365 Cards day 91's colour scheme to create this card. This feather has been on my table for quite a time now, so I've find it ideal for the colour scheme. The paper is from the Safari series of DCWV.

Have a nice day!
