Gertie Sweet Urchin

Good day

After a few weeks of summer holidays and a family Christmas we are home again and I took a day of getting a bit of craft done and I had a good excuse too, I have a friend celebrating her birthday tomorrow. This is Gertie Sweet Urchin from Lacy Sunshine and Heather gave her away in November/December for a challenge on Facebook. So she was one of my want-to-do-list. The designer paper is from Me to you - Especially for you and the rest are from my scrapbook stash. Used some confetti snowflakes to finish this one off.

Challenges I took my inspiration from:
Cute Card Thursday #501 - Anything goes
Cheerful Sketches - December
The Outlawz Colour challenge 26 December - Winter wonderland in shades of blue
Craftaholics R Us #51 - Birthday

Thank you and hope you have a very creative and blessed 2018!

Mr Snowman

Good day

It is sometime quite a challenge when you do not experience the same weather as Blogland. Everybody is super excited about snow and winter, while we are enjoying summer and sun. Luckily we had some rain and cooler weather lately, so I had fun in my craft room. This is a digi from Digistamp4Joy and is November's progressive challenge on Facebook. I search for some decoupage images and with my search I came upon some forgotten stuff, like this card stock made from handmade paper. I played with bits and pieces from my stash. Used a Cuttlebug snow border emboss folder. and some peel off snowflakes for decorations. The sentiment was taken from a quote book.

Challenges I took my inspiration from:

I played with all kinds of paper, from my stash, with some form of glitter or bling on it. Unfortunately you can't always see it on photos, but I tried my best to get a good angle. The digi is from Lacy Sunshine and is called Octavia Melancholy Moppet. She was almost the only one whom will fit in the colour scheme and theme.

Tie a yellow ribbon

Good day

Well I have been occupied with everyday life lately and did not get time to even visit Blogland. Today is just an odd day from a lovely 30°C on Thursday to a 12°C today. Although I do not mind the colder weather. I took the day off and spend it in my craft room.

This is an image from Margy and is this month's Facebook progressive challenge image from Digistamp4Joy. In the very early hours of this morning I came up with the song of "tie a ribbon around the old oak tree" and then I decided this is how this card will end up. I used Tim Holtz Ranger distress paper. After I used a emboss plate I sanded it slightly to give it the tree effect.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Anything goes
C.R.A.F.T Challenge #439 - Ribbon and distress

Autumn Dreamer

Good day

Finally a very hectic week is done and dusted, schools are closed for a week and we can slow the year end pace a bit. This is Autumn Dreamer from Lacy Sunshine. Heather has a Autumn/Halloween challenge on at Lacy Sunshine's facebook page that ends on the 17yh of October. Though we are entering spring I still do love the autumn colours. I decided I'll make this one for my friend and she loves coffee, from there the sentiment - Anytime is coffee time. I used my Aquarelles to colour and papers from my New Leaf, from First Edition. I opted for a bit of shabby chic look with the ruffed edges.

Challenges I took my inspiration from:

With the colour challenge's twist I could not resist to play with this digi called Cat from Anne Fenton. It is this month's freebie at the Outlawz progressive challenge. The designer paper is from a stack, Scrap booking paper, that I bought at our local cheep store. It just fitted the theme so well. Feeling of autumn

Good day

It is always difficult when you stay at the other end of the world and the seasons is a bit different. We are experiencing summer with lovely temperatures of 30° Celsius, though we are still waiting for our first summer rain.
Well this is Digistamp4Joy's digi for this month's progressive challenge on Facebook. And I have finally had time to finish it, though I intended to finish it before the WE, but was pulled down with a terrible headache. The paper is from Colorbök's Splendor pattern pack. I used a Fiskar leave border punch and a die from Sizzix. For the final touch I used a brad and ribbon and peel off sentiment.

Challenges I used as inspiration:
Use your Stuff #279 - Fall is in the air
Crafty Friends#66 - Dies/punches
Digistamp4Joy #140 - Warm colours

Spring morning

Good morning

Spring is in the air and it is surely an uplifting for my soul. Not that our winters is that long, but it has been very dry and I had a cold now for 3 weeks. Although I started to train again this morning. Hopefully I can continue now without any further hick ups.

With the spring feeling I had to play with some of my favourtie challenges and most definitely my favourite color combo. Though it is sometimes more of a challenge to make the white on white a wow factor. All the papers are from my stash and I used Spellbinder's butterfly circle, Nellie Snellen's Shape dies and Couture Creation's magical butterfly.

Challenges I'm joining:
Tuesday Morning Sketches #418
Double D - It's all white
Tic Tac Toe challenge #13 - Circle, Flower, Lace
Deep Ocean Challenge #162 - Favourite colour combo

Thank you and Carpe Diem!!

Up, up and away

Good day

I've been a bit under the weather lately with the change of season in the air. Yesterday I started to feel as if I am winning.
This is a image from DigiStamp4Joy and is this month's digi at the progressive challenge. The paper is from First Edition's Man Made series. The orange ended up to be a burnt orange and not a red orange, but I just could not find the exact colour. Lace is from a box I received about a year ago and I added some metal corners to finish it off.

Challenges I took my inspiration from:
Southern Girls - Smash your stash
Tuesday Throwdown TT357 - Use metal
Cheerful Sketches - August
Digistamp4Joy #139 - Twist Summer
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour challenge 22 August - Twist add lace

Thank you and have a great day!
