Elephant greetings

Hallo
This morning, when I opened my dashboard I saw the lost of Sliekje and as I visited her blog to leave some condolences, my eye caught this free digi and could not resist, since elephants are so much part of our country and with Mojo Monday's sketch, everything started to take shape. I've used some gold glitter to get that real christmas feeling. Currently, I must confess, I do not have a lot of christmas feeling with the temperatures that rise to 35°. Still adapting to Africa. But back to my card, backing paper & sentiment are from docrafts and I digged up some red foil, which I did some embossing on. The button & ribbon is from my stash as well as the floral wire. I used a coluzzle template for my rectangulars.

I'm entering some new challenges for me:

Forever Friends 14/11 - christmas is coming , must include animal digi

Incy Wincy Designs #120 - Tic Tac Toe - Ribbon, Christmas sentiment, metal (foil and wire in this case)

Truly Madly Crafty Challenge #4 - Photo inspiration - Used the gold and stars in picture

Here come the boys # 15 - colours red, green & white for the boys - since I only have two boys this reminds me of them making up the xmas tree.

Thank you for your visit.

Olga

Hi Olga: Aw, I can see that this image held alot of emotion for you in both positive and in sad ways. Isn't it amazing how our art can touch our process like that? Maybe a gift. I love this card. The little tyke riding the back of the big elephant! Wow. You have done a great job with your layers. I can almost imagine the elephant walking along through the layers! It is a wonderful Christmas card. Good luck in your challenges Olga and of course in our challenge at Forever Friends. Your post was quite touching. Divine Love, Samara
