Autumn scene

Good Day

Though almost everybody in blogland is celebrating autumn, we are celebrating spring, though I have to admit that our current weather is a bit odd. It is still kind of cool, round 20-22°C maximum. I do hope the weather will sort it out this coming month so we can have some summer in December.
It is time for a new colour challenge at the Outlawz and I just could not resist these lush colours and their cute inspirational photo! The digi is from Beccy's place....can't remember, but I think it was a freebie a while ago. I've coloured it with H2O and I used pigment ink for the distressing. The papers is from my stash and the leave swirls is done with a Marianne's design Creatables.

This is a digi that I took from a online colouring book( sorry can't remember which one) almost a year ago for a challenge and I just never used it.....you know one of those action of I want to do this, but by the time I can finish it, the challenge had expired. The striped paper is from First Edition's Spring Drop and the rest is left overs in my stash. I just added some charms as finishing touch.

Good Day

Currently I'm occupied between school activities and preparations for our annual Christmas market. So, another 2 week of running around before I can relax and think of the end of the year preparations.

Hubby spoiled me with new Creatables from Marianne's design and I really looked for a reason to use them and a nice autumn card was just the right reason. This is a fall fairy digi from Digistamp4Joy, I used H2O and some Perfect Pearl powder from Ranger for the wings, to colour it. All the papers is from stash and the card stock from Mahé. I used 2 ribbons on top of each other on the orange mulberry paper. Gold pearls, 3 orange brads and the leave diecuts, finish the picture.

Challenges I'm joining:
Tammy's Scrappin Corner #34 - Anything goes
Craft your Passion #134 - Photo Inspiration

Little birdie told me.....

Good Day

Saturated Canary had a freebie over the weekend and I just could not resist bringing her to life on paper and while I joined Tuesday Morning Sketches last week and they invited me over to Theresa's virtual party, not only celebrating her birthday but also because she is a survivor. I just could not resist with this beauty! She looks so fragile with the newly born birdie on her side. This time I really had to dig deep into my stash. I used this rose vellum paper of which I am very stingy as well as the ivory cardstock. The Spellbinder diecut laid on my table from a previous project for which I did not used. The corner is done with a Cuttlebug template. and the flowers and pearls are from my stash and the digi was coloured with H2O pencils.

Challenges I'm joining:
Sketch 'n Stash #99 - Sketch
Die Cutting Divas #88 - Shimmer, Glimmer and gloss (hope it includes glitter too)
Flourishes #192 - Make a birthday card

Special day celebrations

Good Day

Since last week Wednesday I played with ideas on how to join the Play Date Café's big birthday bash! Last night it started to take form in my head and I had a moment to put it to paper this afternoon. The only difference is that my Best Wishes rubber stamp saw the end of its life, so I had to improvise with something else. In the end I used my Inkadinkado stamps fro the swirls and for the sentiment. I also used some glitter heat embossing on the sentiment. Added a ribbon for a finishing touch.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Play Date Café #154 - Purple, Mulberry & flame
Charisma Cardz #41 - Clean and simple
Fashionista #8 - Anything goes

Thank you

Sea you around

Good Day

This time I played around with my favourite all-time technique. I used to do a lot of decoupage or 3D cards in the past, but with digital medium I became spoiled. For today I've combined the two. This pelican were a freebie at the beginning of the month at Digistamp4Joy. Their new challenge started on Wednesday, with anything goes with the twist of a masculine card. As all challenge blogs, they prefer to see their own images. I played with a few option and then I remembered this 3D papers I have and thought this will do. Create a sea frame. I kept the papers neutral, with only embossing and a touch of a gold glitter pen. I have a scrapbook template for the sea star, but had to modify it to fit to the project and then just added some peel off sentiment.

Challenges I'm joining:
Digistamp4Joy # 53 - Anything goes with a masculine twist
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #176 - Sketch
One Stop Craft Challenge #201 - Anything goes
Fussy and Fancy #74 - Anything goes
Daring Cardmakers - Don't worry be happy

Thank you for your visit!

Typical SA male diet

 Di's Digi's Grill King
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour combo with twist of cooking
Sketch Twisted Tuesday with the twist of using glitter/shimmer spray

Good Day
Traditionally in South Africa we love to have a barbecue over weekends. We love meat and a lot of it too. We also tend to joke to say a typical male diet in our country is a piece of meat in the one hand and a beer in the other. With Outlawz twist I played around with a few options but in the end this Grill King Digi from Di's Digis just had the head sart. I used paper from my stash and on the striped green paper I used some shimmer mist. Hope it is visible on the photo. For the first time in ages I used my star corner punch and added some star brads in the corners.
Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Tuesday 10/16 Colour combo with the twist of cooking
Sketch Twisted Tuesday 2TC28 - Sketch with the twist of shimmer mist
Digistamp4Joy #53 - Anything goes with the twist of masculine card.
Daring Cardmakers - Don't worry be happy

Thank you and have wonderful weekend.
