Toadily Happy Birthday

Good Morning

As I have mentioned in one of my previous post, there are some beautiful digis in round 12 of the Crafter's digital art centre progressive challenge. This one is from Fred she Said. Mom of only boys and frogs being part of my history, though I do not like the real stuff whatsoever. We stayed in France for a while (in the frogleg production area) and the French are known for eating froglegs, from there my love for frogs. I just had to use this digi. I have finally decided to use the Trio Tuesday sketch 106 and the colour combo of The Craft Pad - Red, Blue & green. All papers is from my scrapbook stash and I had this frog button for quite a while now and it is from Dress it up and it is called boyz rule. The sentiment is from Penny Black.
Challenges I'm joining:
The Craft Pad #158 - Red, Blue, Green
CDAC round 12 - cdacpc12, fss
Aud Sentiment #48 - Happy
Craft Catz #120 - Favourite thing - Green, Boys and frogs
Glitter Geeks week 7 - Boys & Girls
Tuesday Trio #106 - Sketch

Thank you for your visit!

Pink Birthday

Good Morning

My boy's teacher is celebrating her birthday soon. So he chose this beautiful digi from Sliekje, called cupcake girl. Like many times before the card does not end up with the original colours in mind. He requested blue and the card ended up in pink. I just felt pink suites this cutie better. She seems so fragile. I've used some 3D paint on the frosting of the cupcake and added beads for decorations. The designer paper is from Kirsty Wiseman designed for the crafts beautiful magazine. The yellow is from basic grey and I used a cuttlebug emboss template for the embossing. The fluffy knitting twine and lace is from my stash. Finished it of with the flower brads and pearls in the righthand bottom corner.

Challenges I'm joining:

Cupcake Craft Challenge #180 - Fluffy pink Cupcake

Robyn Festish #95 - Pretty in Pink

Glitter Geeks week 7 - Girls and boys

Charisma Cardz #6 - Anniversairy

Use it Tuesday #25 - Celebrating their Birthday Party

Sweet Stampin #24-2 - Choose 3 in a row; Lace, Ribbon, Pearls / Lace, Brads, Flowers

Heart mouse

Good Morning

With Valentine's day around the corner, I thought I will quickly share you this card. I've used a freebie from Meljen's design called "Art Mouse" and I used the Outlawz Sketch. All the cardstock is from my stash. I've added a bit of beads to the charm to give it a bit of dangling. This whole card was mainly inspired by Anything Goes's bingo challenge. Though the closed card is a square, I've cut away a half of each page, as can be seen on the second photo. The top stamps are from Nitwit and sentiment from Adam Pescott.

Challenges I'm joining:
Anything Goes #60 - Eyes down, Bingo Board - Distress, Charms, Animals, Shaped Card or My choice - 2 different stamps

Prairiy Fairy Fun Fridays # 72 - Let me call you sweetheart
Crafty Catz #119 - Valentine's

Glitter Geeks #week 6 - To the one I love

Dutch Dare Card #151 - White & Pink, Red

Hope you have a lovely valentine's day.

Penguin Slide

Good Morning

With a nice cup of earl grey tea in one hand I want to share this card with you. As I have mentioned before, I have to make a few male cards. I had these penguin stamps almost a year now. They are from the Ollyfant Storybook stamps, distributed by Kars. I have been playing with this idea now, for a week and with the girls at CAS-friday's challenge - penguin suite, it finally came to paper. I've used some black paper with a leatherly look with a bit of bling in the right corner and with the sentiment:" wishing you no unexpected downfall" I've used plain black paper as backing piece - though it does not look black. Just used a plain fineliner and a white gelroller for the borderlines.
I'm join in the fun at:
CAS-Fridays CFC 36 - Penguin suite - only black and white allowed
Charisma Cards #2 - Clean and simple
I did it creations #90 - Animals
Glitter Gleeks week 3 - Two images

Hope you can enjoy a nice cup of tea, too.

Thank you

God's blessing

My project

A view from the back

A 20cm diameter circle folded in a triangle.

Good Morning

This is a special card for a friend whom celebrate her 60th birthday, this coming week-end. Though all birthdays are special I thought something different will do for this achievement.

So I combined a few challenges and used handmade paper as base. I 've cut a 20cm diameter and then folded in a triangle. I used my Marianne design's diecuts for the top flower and grab the freebie sentiment from Netty's cards. When I saw the digi is from Sliekje and she called it Just Cute and you can interepret it as rain or snow, I stopped searching, since I know my friend has 3 granddaughters in England. The sentiment is my own in Afrikaans and read: "May God's blessing rain upon you, so that you can grow and keep on be a blessing to all." I've added the ribbon to fasten it a the back, though it is not prominent on the front. I didn't want to add to much embellishments since I wanted to make the paper more the focale point.

The challenges I've combined:

Just us Girls #109 - Sketch - won't you tri(angle) it.
CASual Fridays CFC 27 - Over the edge

Glitter Geeks #22 - Snuggle up

Thank you and have a splendid day!

I'm off going to bake pancakes.

Hallo
This is my second card for the 5th round at Crafter's Digital Art Centre's Progressive challenges with digis provided. This round has the theme of festive in cool colours. So, the ladies at Glitter Geeks have a recipe to follow this week and kick started this card.

The sky is the limit....

Hallo Everyone
Just to share some good news. After 18 months in blogworld I finally won my first challenge over at Digi my World. Thank you Annie. It took me by surprise, I must confess. So, for more to win for everybody they are sharing some blogcandy every week, $5 store credits at their shop - Digi my World and they have some nice digital stamps available and new releases on Fridays.

Now for my post,

Spring is in the air with all the birds, bees and butterflies in my garden, although we had a cooler day yesterday and the wind has been blowing the whole week. The wind is not the thing that bothers me the most, it's the dust that goes with it....especially since we stay in the heart of the coal mine industry in South Africa.

Well, enough complaining.

The ladies at Charisma Cards Challenge # 37 have a theme of "Sky" and the Digi my World challenge #2 is "School Spirit" Somehow I wanted to join the two challenges, since I believe you can learn so much of life's lessons in nature. I've used the sketch from Crafty Catz challenge #100 and at Glitter Geeks Week #15 the theme is "In the Garden". So I ended up using the adorable butterfly digi from Digi my World and added some rhinestones on my fiskar border punch. The swallow birds's paper I've found in my stash and I used a cuttlebug flower border emboss template on the green. The sentiment is my own.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Thank you

Whale lot of fun!

Hallo

This is Scuba Changito. One of my favourite caracters stamps. I dipped him out of the cupboard because there are a few challenge blocks that inspired me with this card. I made an aperture card, to make it look as if you are looking through a window into the sea, where Changito is swimming, with a whale in the distance. The papers is bits and pieces from my stash and I used crazy clay for my seastar embellishment as well as my cuttlebug diecuts for the fishes, crab and whale. The shell is real, from my stash. The sentiment I printed with a computer.
I have used the following challenges to enter, as my guidance for the card.
One Stop Craft Challenge 139 - sketch
Colorlab colours Challenge 49 : Island Indigo, Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry
Happileigh Scrappin Challenge 31- Make your own embellishments
Glitter Geeks Week 6- Under the sea
Crafty Calender July Challenge - Under the sea
Sweet Stampin - One for the boys
Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge 57 - Holidays

Hope you had some form of holiday lately.

Thank you

Mountain Biker

Another hallo for today, hope you are well and relaxing before another week starts.
Lately I had a lot of boy cards to make and today another one to add to my collection. Though I've found the colour challenge for red, white and blue quite helpful with this card. In a sense it gives you a festive feeling and it suites a card for a boy. With this card I played a bit with texture and even added some fluff on my sentiment, and yes this card will go all the way to France as the sentiment says: "Happy Birthday"
I am entering in the following challenges:
Meljen's design challenge 65 - Sketch
Glitter Geeks challenge 4 - Speed, I belief you can get some sort of speed from a mountain bike....
Crafty Catz challenge 89 - Colours of summer
Cards 365 day 122 - Feeling Fuzzy
Wags 'n Whiskers Summer Creations
Stamp, Scrap & Doodles Stars and stripes
Blogger Challenge Colour Challenge - Red, white and blue

Thank you
