Mice-ing around

Good day

A quick post for my MIL's card I made. She loves needle work in all format as well as the hues of pink. This image from Di's digital images fits her perfectly. I played with some of my "stitched with love" paper. I also decided to try a flying seagull fold type card of which I found this inspiration from pinterest. Unfortunately I did not take a photo from the top. I coloured the image with my Prisma pencils and added lace, ribbon and flower button embellishments from my stash as well as diecuts from Lena Nielsen.

Challenges I took inspiration from:
Incy Wincy - May - fun folds
Let's Craft and create #195 - Ribbon, lace and twine
Di's Digi - Polka dots and or stripes (hope the gingham goes through for the stripes)

Thank you and have a lovely day!

She turned 30

 Good day

I have this stamp and die cut now for so long and just never had the chance to play with it. My stepdaughter turned 30 last Friday and she said that currently her favourite colours are red & green. It sounds to me like poppies. I have used watercolour pens for this. Layered it with some diecuts and a afrikaans sentiment saying happy birthday. The envelope in parchment paper, that I also had for ages since slimline it not my go to form, I used cuts (all those that was cut for a project but did not end up in the project) from my stash with a feather. Luckily it is a hand delivered card.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Paper a la mode - All about embellishments (on the envelope)
Crafty Calender - Anything but square
613 Avenue - Say it with flowers
Creative Knockouts #494 - Anything goes

Thank you and have a blessed day.

Turning 21

Good day

It has almost been 6 months since my last post. I have decided to learn somethings new this year so I spend a lot of time on my new ventures. Of which one is quilting and I must admit it is really something I like. Maybe I'll share a picture soon.

But I took some time off to play with my papers this past week. My boy is turning 21 tomorrow. He loves motorcycles and has one too, but often he has to do some repairing on his "lady" as he calls her. So when I saw this image - motorcycle mechanic - from The Paper Shelter I just to have it. I had to add a beard to this guy since my son has a beard and I have coloured the background and tried to add the 21 in the form of graffiti. The tools are dies and I added some eyelets with a sentiment of Happy Birthday.

Challenges I'm joining:
C.R.A.F.T #677 - Birthdays
Pattie's Creations #206 - Anything goes
Craft Rocket #103 - One for the boys

Hope you have a wonderful day!

New challenge at Creative Moments

Good day

It is time for the last challenge for the year at Creative Moments. Since we are in the spirit of Christmas or winter, you can use that inspiration for our challenge. Beccy from Beccy's place is our sponsor and I have the privilege to play with Emu parade. It just suited our Southern Hemisphere kind of Christmas in the middle of our summer holidays. I also use her December challenge board to create my card. I used the middle row left to right - Colour with pencils, digital image, add some sparkle. I used some ribbon with sparkle and some shimmer board behind my image for the sparkle and I have coloured the image with my Prism Pencils. Papers from my stash and the sentiment is part of the package.

Challenges I'm joining:
Beccy's Place - December
Cheerful Sketches - December sketch
Incy Wincy - Christmas
Morgan's Art world - Anything goes

Hope you will come and join us at Creative Moments!

December Sketches at SSW 2

Good day

Kathie have created 2 new sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. I just had a fun time creating with them too. For the first one I created a birthday card for a friend of mine who celebrate her birthday on the 28th of December. She just love the soft teal colour. I used a stamp that I have bought in September and a few different dies. Added 2 dragonfly diecuts with some pearls as finishing touch.

Challenges I'm joining:
Crafter's cafe - Use dies and or punches
Crafty Calendar - Anything goes

Image from Sheepski Design called Garden Party

For the second one I took especially inspiration from the mood board of Colourful options, since white on white is just one of my all time favourite challenges, though today I played with white on white with a dash of colour. Since purple is my colour choice for this Christmas I used it on the gnomes' hats - image from Sheepski design called garden party. I'm a bit disappointed since the clear emboss pen did not change colour with the heat embossing on the brim of the hats. I think I used a different emboss powder in the past. I added some pearl accent on the beards. For the holly leaves, in the corner, I used a Fiskar emboss corner template. Added an Afrikaans peel-off sticker for the sentiment and some pearls.

Challenges I'm joining:
2 Sisters on the blog #69 - Christmas with holly leaves
Allsorts #705 - Christmas
Colourful options - Inspiration board
Creative Knockouts #481 - Winter wonderland
Sheepski design challenge #69 - This is the season

Hope you will come and join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
