Freebie time at Catch the Bug

 

Good day

This is a belated post for Catch the Bug's Friday Freebie! After some weeks of forced Silence Jodie could make contact in the virtual world of which we are super excited, since all the Friday Freebies will be available again. This week we have Martian Fly as freebie. I played with papers from All for Boys by DWVC and some very old cuttlebug dies for the spaceship and planet. Image was coloured with Prisma pencil and I added some chalk blending on the circle.  The inspiration board of Colour my Dare gave me the inspiration for the papers.

Serene 18th

 Good day

Another 18th Birthday is on our hand. This young lady loves a lighter shade of Purple. I played with all kinds of papers in my stash, also a cut and emboss folder from X-Cut. I made to and added the teal butterflies to the purple. One left over I add to the girl's hair with a rhinestone. The sentiment is from Desert Diva, though I just added the 18. Image was coloured with Prisma Pencils. I added some voile as a second layer of the image to give it some softness. I mainly make Birthday cards to give away, since we more often add a gift voucher to the recipient.

Your love is special

 Good day

This was a special request by a husband for his wife, that he could not see for almost a month now due to borders that was closed and he works in a neighboring country. He will only see her late today, so he even missed Valentine's day. She loves proteas. Flowers that are very unique to our country. Luckily I had this image from Digistamp4Joy. Unfortunately the shop had to close down a few years ago. I used papers from The Paper Boutique - For Her & Forest Blossoms. I used one of my favourite dies from Nellie Snellen frame and sentiment and Sizzix corner die. Finish it of with ribbon and rhinestones. This is also nice mixture of my favourite colours and elements of embellishments as well sketch challenge blog.

Just note of Spring

 Good day

Today I just had some lovely inspiration from the lovely peach colours from The Outlawz. The image from All Dressed Up - Just a Note, has been on my table for quite a while. So today it just fitted the theme of vintage/shabby chic that I had in mind with the few challenges that inspired me. The image was coloured with Prisma pencils. Paper and embellishments are all from my stash.

A mug of cocoa

 Good day

It is time for a new challenge at Creative Moments! Today I played with a stencil and Versa Magic ink - Pumpkin spice, Sea Breeze and Pixie dust. I really enjoyed how this one came out.  I almost did not want to add a image, but we are sponsored by Bugaboo, so I used Cocoa mug and coloured it with almost the same colours. Used a voile ribbon and some rhinestones in the corner. In the end I think the background do get the attention.

Bunches of love

 Good day

I can not believe that we are already in February and with the turn of the page on the calendar there is just some love in the air. I played with Monkey Love Handful of hearts for our challenge at Catch the Bug. Normally the first Saturday of the month we have an Anything Goes challenge. Always lovely. I used a new emboss and cut folder from X-Cut. and some papers from my stash. Sentiment was computer generated.

You stole my heart

 Good day

Today I want to share with you a card that I actually made for my husband, but he was puffing in my neck while I made it, so I'll probably have to make another one for him. Not that I often make cards for the men in my life. I just sometimes get the idea they do not appreciate it as much as somebody else. Maybe I'm wrong. The image is Heart Monster from Bugaboo and it is the newsletter freebie for February. I used a few challenges as inspiration to make this. My papers are from my stash and the sentiment is from my Inspiration Station book. The circle die is from Nellie Snellen.
