Baby shower bag

 Good day

Today I want to share with a bag I made from a recycled paper bag that I got when shopping some clothes awhile ago. Lately I tend to keep most of the paper bags for recycling purposes. When I was looking at some images from Andrea at Sheepski Design this image called Mini Me just gave me the inspiration I needed for this baby shower bag I made for a friend's first grandchild. The theme is animals. I also found this paper in my All About boys scrapbook stack and it just fitted the theme, so I kept everything very simple. The base paper is brown mulberry paper golden paisley patterns on and it is like from ages ago. The sentiment is also scrapbook letter stickers, saying congratulations.

Let's make music!

Good day

This is another special requested project for a friend of mine's granddaughter. She loves pink and playing piano. I found this digi - Tori famous - from Kenny K in my digi stash that suited the request well. I played with papers from my stash and created one of my favourite theme projects: Music. I have coloured the image with my prisma pencils, though I still need some practice on a darker skin tone. Dies are from Crealies and Lea Crealies. I used a Cuttlebug piano key emboss folder on the pink down strip.

I used Holly Butterfly on this project. Used paper from a four season summer pack. It just suite the image so well. For my mother

With permission of a friend of mine I share with you this photo of a cosmos field in the Free State. 

Good day

I played with the freebie from Pattie's creations for April called cosmos. I played with some die cuts and embossing that was on my table from Marianne's design. Since it was cosmos season in March and April in South Africa all along our national roads you saw all the delicate flowers. I took inspiration from there delicate soft colours.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 May's challenge

Good day

On the first Wednesday of the month it is time for new sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! We have 2 lovely and easy sketches. The ladies did some lovely work with beautiful creations. You can see seasons are changing since brighter colours do become more visible. We do have an optional twist of April showers bring May flowers, but that is optional.

For my first sketch I used this image from Passionate Paper Creations. This was a special requested birthday card for a young lady who do not like pink whatsoever. This really has a island vibe to it, but somehow I struggled to find paper in my stash. I used different dies from Crealies and Nellie Snellen. Papers are from my stash. I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils.

For my second sketch I used an image from Bugaboo. With Mother's day around the corner I decided to do a bit more feminine card with paper from Mintay's Graceful stack. Image was coloured with Prisma pencils and I added some lilac pearls for a finishing touch.
