Snowflake christmas

Hallo
This one is for 365 Cards day 150 doing wet or dry embossing.
Normally for christmas I choose a theme - colour or design. This time I thought to go on the pale blue, white and silver with some snowflakes. I used my cuttlebug snowflake emboss template for the background and I made a tag with some embroidering in silver and used a snowflake brad and peel-off to finish the card off.

Thank you
Olga

For you

Good afternoon on this chilly Friday afternoon
It's been a while since I joined the group at Cards 365. But they have a challenge on backgrounds this week and I bought this beautiful polka dot paper some time ago and did not get to play with it as yet. Cards 365 Day 147 have the quest half polka dots half plain. I've used a Adam Pescott stamp and I used some foil on the white circle to emphasize the blue on the paper. Then I finished it of with some scrap netting and made a border with my favourite fiskar border punch with some sparkle. With the lovely twine and tickets on offer over at Scrap Affair with also a challenge on Polka dots, I'm joining them as well. The Ladies at Cupcake Craft Challenge #152 with their Shabby Sparkle challenge have a prize from Sassy Studio design with the most beautiful pirate digis available. I do enter again, for I think this time I've tried to take a better photo to show the sparkle on the paper.

Wishing all a quiet crafting week-end.

Do you want to go shopping?

Good morning
Time for a girly teenager card. Not often I can do this, since I only have boys. But I do enjoy making a girly card from time to time and I have all this nice things to use and I think for a teenager, fashion is an important subject.
The image is a Mo Maning clear stamp from Stampavie. The image was coloured with aquarelles and I added the purple pigment ink. I applied it with a dry wet wipe from the outside in, which I find the best medium to apply this with, since it give you a fluent effect. The dotted and printed paper is from "All about girls stack" from DCWV and the rest of the paper is from my scrapbook stash. For my embellishments I used some rub-ons and peel-offs, that I glued to flower diecuts.
I am entering the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge #26 - Sketch - the sketch is presented in the most beautiful ice cream colours and I could not resist.

Thank you for the visit and have a nice day!

If life boils your kettle......

Good evening from a cold South Africa
It have been snowing a bit the last couple of days in our central mountain areas and I really hoped for some in our town as well, but I doubt.
But none the less, I have used the time to craft a bit. It is my mother-in-law's birthday next week and she loves tea. So, when I saw this freebie over at Sandi samples, I had a thought of her. She is a crafter in her own way. She can do magic with a piece of material. So I've used embellishments and paper that resembles her craft. She also loves pink. The paper is mainly from my scrapbook stash. The flowerpaper is from the "All about girls stack" from DCWV. I've also used some lace.
I am entering the following challenges:
There she goes clear stamps TSG 117 - Sketch
Use it Tuesday Challenge 12 Two fer - the buttons, paper and fastner I've bought some years ago to be used someday....that happened today.
Aud Sentiment Challenge 33 a sentiment to make some one smile thinking of them. This sentiment comes from one of my placemats, and I do find some encourgement from it whenever I read it.
Charisma Cardz Challenge 29 sunshine colours.....I saw a photo of a watermelon, a summer fruit, and used then colours scheme for this card.
One Stop Craft Challenge Week 14 - Recipe challenge - 1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers and 3 buttons.

Hope you have a joyful day.

Whale lot of fun!

Hallo

This is Scuba Changito. One of my favourite caracters stamps. I dipped him out of the cupboard because there are a few challenge blocks that inspired me with this card. I made an aperture card, to make it look as if you are looking through a window into the sea, where Changito is swimming, with a whale in the distance. The papers is bits and pieces from my stash and I used crazy clay for my seastar embellishment as well as my cuttlebug diecuts for the fishes, crab and whale. The shell is real, from my stash. The sentiment I printed with a computer.
I have used the following challenges to enter, as my guidance for the card.
One Stop Craft Challenge 139 - sketch
Colorlab colours Challenge 49 : Island Indigo, Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry
Happileigh Scrappin Challenge 31- Make your own embellishments
Glitter Geeks Week 6- Under the sea

Going on a safari....

Hallo on this quiet Sunday afternoon in South Africa

I have found this freebie over at Kenny K and I could not resist. Giraffes are such gracious animals. The ladies at Midnight Madness sketch 112 also have an irresistible sketch and prizes. So I have used Safari Chic paper in the background and on a sale, sometime ago in France, I have found this faux leather piece as well as the textured paper that almost looks like tree-bark. The guinea fowl feather and porcupine quill is from my stash and I added Edwin Zookeeper from Magnolia, the images I've coloured with aquarelles and the diecut is from Marianne's design.
So I am going to try my luck on the following challenges, since I feel a bit reckless today and all the DT cards is such an inspiration for me:
Midnight Madness Sketch 112 - Sketch 112
Crafty Creations Challenge 127 - Boyz to men
Paper Crafting Journey Nr 14 - For him
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Your Favourite of the last 150 Challenges - nr 13 Inspiration from Home - I have interpret home as South Africa, whom is known for its game reserves and I could not resist to enter a second time this week.
Fairy Fun Fridays 57 - On holidays - The bush is definitely my favourite place to go on holiday.
A Gem Challenge blog 25 - Let's hear it for the boys
Use it Tuesday 11 use011 - You are an animal
Sweet Stampin - One for the boys

Wanna cupcake?

Good Morning

I have found this image from Sliekje Digi Stamp and decided that I have to do something with this. Although some time did pass since then. I have coloured the image with aquarelles and used some heat embossing on the cupcakes. I have used paper from one of my papercraft magazines and the ribbon is from my stash. I also used some foil on the sentiment.
I am entering the following challenges:
Little Red Wagon with their challenge pink, lime and white.

Thinking of you

Another quick Hallo

This time the ladies at CAS-ual Fridays had a challenge (nr10) on Shaped Cards and the DT had some nice inspirational cards and I decides I to try one as well. I also had some inspiration from my garden infront of my craftroom, that is filled with pansies in full bloom. So I made a flowerpot with some 3D pansies. The ladies at Aud sentiment challenge 32 asked for 2 or more words sentiment, so the sentiment in Afrikaans says:"Thinking of you". It is a rubberstamp I've used and I did some heat embossing with it. The Rubber Cafe TRCC25 also has a challenge for a shaped card.

Hope you have a good day and thank you for visiting.

Flower shower

Hallo

I had such a lot of ideas lately, but somehow do not get the time for crafting, although it is winter holidays in SA. When I saw the colour and sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary challenge, CCMC 158, with the colour scheme of So Saffron, Basic Grey and Pumpkin Pie, I felt like spring. So I got out my Penny Black stamp and diecuts and came up with this card.
I'm also entering the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge 150 challenge - make your favourite and I chose nr 1 Flowers and nr 21 Spring, since it will be spring in a month's time.
Penny Black at Allsorts July challenge - Flower Power
Charisma Cardz Challenge 27 - All about flowers

Hope you have a nice day!

So Chic

Hallo

The girls at Cupcake Craft Challenge have a challenge for a single layer card. It sounds quite simple, but if you are used to use a lot of layers this is a challenge. So since Monday I've been thinking on how to make a card and finally this morning I had an idea. This is what popped out. I know everybody in the northern hemisphere is endulging in summer and I do envy them, especially if I look at all the beautiful DT cards, but I just love this Penny Johnson stamp and it suites our season currently where we are in the middle of winter. I've dusted of some of my embossing templates for the side, which I gave some chalk colour. Used my leave Fiskar punch for the edge and added some ribbon. The sentiment is a Molly Bloom stamp. I'm also joining the ladies at Class Act Insider with their colour scheme of red, white and green and of using a rubber stamp.

Hope you have a wonderful week-end.

You're Invited

Good day

I must confess that today's post I've started from the other side. I had all the ingredients and then I had to search for a recipe. Sometimes a bit more difficult, since it does not always comes out as you have planned, not that I really had anything in mind.
This is an invitation for my 40th birthday party and I have decided on a Pop-rock dress-up theme, so for me, I have associated the theme with black and a lot of bling and to include red and blue.
The sentiment was cut with my craft robo, as well as the red oval. The paper is from Teresa Collins and Melissa Frances scrapbook paper series. The electric guitar is a stamp that I have used and the rest is from my stash.

The following challenges gave me my recipe to follow:
Midnight Madness MMSC111- the sketch
CCEE Stampers CCEE1126 - Use electronic cutters -Craft Robo
Cute Cards Thursday Challenge 171 - Technology - Electric guitar
Craft your Passion Challenge 65 - Anything goes
TSG Clear Stamp TSG114 - Glitter, Glitz and bling - paper
Use it Tuesday Challenge 10 - Red, White and Blue

Thank you

Mountain Biker

Another hallo for today, hope you are well and relaxing before another week starts.
Lately I had a lot of boy cards to make and today another one to add to my collection. Though I've found the colour challenge for red, white and blue quite helpful with this card. In a sense it gives you a festive feeling and it suites a card for a boy. With this card I played a bit with texture and even added some fluff on my sentiment, and yes this card will go all the way to France as the sentiment says: "Happy Birthday"
I am entering in the following challenges:
Meljen's design challenge 65 - Sketch
Glitter Geeks challenge 4 - Speed, I belief you can get some sort of speed from a mountain bike....
Crafty Catz challenge 89 - Colours of summer
Cards 365 day 122 - Feeling Fuzzy
Wags 'n Whiskers Summer Creations
Stamp, Scrap & Doodles Stars and stripes
Blogger Challenge Colour Challenge - Red, white and blue
