Puppy love

Good day

Wishing you all a year full of creativity, love and peace of mind and heart. After a few weeks of summer holidays I'm back, hopefully with few new ideas, a lot of energy and a bit more of myself than needed. Hopefully that will disappear soon, with a bit of work.
We had such a lovely surprise before christmas. There were some french people visiting Hubby's work and another collegue sended us some nice french gifts via them. It was such a delightful gesture that I just had to make them this Thank You card.

Now for my post. This is a digi from Pattie's Creations, one of round 9's digis over at the Crafter's digital Art Centre, with the theme of making it your own. We have received it before Christmas, but due to all the holidays the deadline was postponed to the 14th of January. I have to admit, I 'm glad since I had time off to play with the image in my head and I just love dogs and this puppy face.
The orange paper is from my stash and the rest is from W&M, which I also bought, just before christmas. I've used chalk ink for the orange distressing. The sentiment is done with my cuttlebug, one I bought just before christmas - you know that "for - mom - from - mom - gifts". The rhinestones, button and ribbon is from my stash.
The colour scheme choice was guide by Use it Tuesday's challenge of the colours of your favourite sports team - for me it is the Cheetah rugby team in central South Africa, with colours of jade, purple and mainly orange or white.

The challenges I'm joining in:
CDAC round 9 - cdacpc9, PC
Charisma Cardz #50 Team Gem - Anything goes
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 134
Use it Tuesday #22 - Yay team - colours of your favourite sport team
Glitter Geeks #30 - Brand spanking new bragging with your new stash

Thank you and have a splendid day!

Just to say Thank You

Good Morning

My second box. This time I used a pale blue as base and unfortunately I do not know the origine of this digi. So, if anybody knows, please help me to give gratitude to the designer, I would much appreciate it, since I'm busy re-organising my digital data base. The punch is from make me and the sentiment is a freebie from Hannelie. Again I used the colour scheme from Colour Throwdown. It just suited the image. All goodies is from my sash.

Challenges I'm entering:

Colour Throwdown # CTD169 - Real Red, Baja Breeze, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip

Crafty Creations #145 - Thanks/Gratitude

Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes

Thank you

Colour my life

Good Morning
Today, our schools close for the summer holidays and for the festive season. Hopefully, things will slow down a bit. I have to admit that it is a bit tuff with everything that ends at the same time, not like the northern hemisphere that has spread it a bit over the year. But, enough complaining. I've made some boxes for thank-you-gifts, that I want to share with you. This one, I used a Digi my World image from the colour my life series. Thought it would fit the colour scheme from Colour Throwdown. The border frame and swirls is from Marianne's design. The sentiment in Afrikaans says: Thank you. Just added some rhinestones for a bit of glits.
Challenges I'm joining in the fun:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 129-33 - Sketch
Digi my World #7 - Anything goes DMW digi required
Colour Throwdown # CTD169 - Colour Challenge - Real Red, Taken with Teal, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Raise the Bar #85 - Thank you

Thank you

Non traditional christmas

Hallo

Today I've tried something different. Not so much the image, from daisy doodles, but more the colour scheme. Purple and orange. This morning I was scrabbling through my stash for papers for my son's birthday invitations and my I caught this purple backpaper with the christmas design. Then I remembered Use it Tuesday's challenge for purple, orange and black - all or any choice. The image is one of the digis from Crafters Digital Art Centre's 6th round progressive challenge, with theme of winter wonderland. A.F. Wells once said "Take Christ out of Christmas and December becomes the most dismal and drab time of the year." From there my choice of a star brad used with some lilac ribbon. Brazzille cardstock from my stash and I've used a spellbinder diecut and the digi was coloured with aquarelles.

I was guided by the following challenges:

CDAC progressive challenge round 6 - cdacpc6, daisydoodles

Use it Tuesday #18 - Colors Orange, purple

Crimbo Crackers #1 - Anything goes for christmas

Meljen's design #83 - Use a brad or more

Thank you

Panda birthday

Hallo

After a hectic week-end, I had some time to do some craft to rewind this morning.
I got this stamp, designed by Adam Pescott with my latest issue of Quick Cards and thought it cute to celebrate a first birthday. I have used the sketch of Sweet Sketch Wednesday 106 as guide and as mentioned, it is for a girl's first birthday. The image was coloured with aquarelles and the paper is from my stash and played with my sunburst fiskar punch.

Hope you have a peaceful week ahead.
