Glitter with Christmas

Good day

It is few days before Christmas and I finally had time to make a Christmas card. I used Lilly Christmas from Moondrea. I have coloured her with my Prisma pencils. I used a Superellipse die on the image and frame, and the big splash border from the Memory box in some glitter paper in front. The papers are from Rosy Cosy Christmas, and All About You.

It's my anniversary

Good day

This is a quicky made from papers from my scrapbook stash and a Nellie's die MFD107. The image is from Bugaboo and after so many years of marriage I think you can bring in some humor with an anniversary card. I have to admit that the striking colours of the sketch made me choose the circle option.

Summer Birthday

 

Good day

We had some lovely rain lately and the Bush-veld is in all its splendor of spring. It sure looks good!

With all the green around me I took some inspiration for my project today. This is Summer from Moondrea. I used Prisma pencils to colour her. With designer paper from Botanic Vintage from Nellie's Choice I used a Crealies CLNestXXL 35 die and a Spellbinder oval scallop die for the image. Spellbinder shapeabilities - on the edge - for the center pink. As always I need to add some ribbon, as it is my favourite embellishments, on the background. Ribbon is so versatile, since you can add it as a line or make bow just to add some focal point or just to add it so subtle to complete all the required elements of the project, like in this one. I found the paper so lovely that I did want to hide it. My sentiment is in Afrikaans and is a Happy Birthday sentiment from The Purple Magnolia.

Birthday goodie bag

Good day

I must admit that it is very difficult to create something for an October birthday, since most challenges are quite in a Halloween spirit, and where I stay, it is not much celebrated. 

One of our neighbor is celebrating his birthday today. He is turning 77. I made him this bag to add some real traditional snacks in it. It seems he is not much of a sweet tooth, so it is all nice salty and meaty stuff. Hope he likes it. 

I used Gus - recount, from Bugaboo. Used papers from my stash ( the orange is much more rusty in real life) and coloured the image with my prisma pencils.

Lilly Cinderella

Good day

I had some time playing with this new image from Moondrea, called Lilly Cinderella. Used my favourite technique of shabby chic. Colored the image with my prisma pencil and used some bits and pieces of my stash.

New experience

Good day

This is an image, from Alicia Bel, that traveled, I have coloured it about a year ago and it just never ended up finished. We have moved in the beginning of December 2023 and since then we were busy with renovations. 

Well today, was a good day, since it got fixed to a card. I played with bits and pieces of stash. Even the sentiment was printed a year ago. I used a cloud emboss folder under the airplane and on the edge next to sentiment.

 Good day

Today is the start of a brand new progressive challenge on Facebook in the Moondrea group. This beauty's name is Anemone Maiden. When I laid my eye on her, the flowers stood out for me and I just wanted to colour them in yellow. Later on I realized that anemones are normally in hues of pink and purple. With a few challenges with a summer theme I found these lovely paper stack in my stash and it just blended in with all the rest. I used a cut and emboss folder from hallmark with these lovely butterflies. Added some liquid pearl and a butterfly brad.

Still breathing

 Good day

With a few moves and renovations behind my back, I can hopefully return to crafting. 

We have a wedding upcoming weekend and it gave me an opportunity to dig trough my craft supplies. I used some recycled ribbon with some glitter and pearly papers. With a BoBunny frame and rectangular die, Country Crafts sentiment die and cuttlebug emboss folder.
