Glitter 'n Sparkle's Mother's day challenge

With Mother's day on hand or almost soon in the world we have a great challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle this week. I thought of something different this time since I received Vogue lady from Digi Darla to play with. Our shops are filled with Autumn clothes in colours red, white and black with some sort of leopard skin in between. I did not had any black and white animal prints, so I found this piece of leopard skin print. This is probable more for the fashion mom.

March Christmas card

This is just a quick post with my Christmas Card for the March progressive challenge at Digistamp4Joy, I used some ivy dies as embellishments to brighten the card, I'll also join Fab 'n Funky's #209 Christmas challenge.

Blue for the older wedding couple

Good day

I had a request for a wedding card, for an elder couple. I played with some blue rose vellum and silver brush stroke cardstock. The centre sentiment is from Digistamp4Joy and I took the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22 on my flags at the left and add some pearls and flowers.

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday #338 as inspiration as well as Love to create's bingo #108 - ribbon, blue & flowers as guidance and I'm joining Fan-Tastic Tuesday #28 - Anything goes.

Happy Mother's day

Good day

With hubby taking a deep thinking session on the couch I had some time to play with my papers. This is Wix Heart a Blaze from Lacy Sunshine. She just fitted in the theme of hearts and flowers so well that goes with Mother's day celebrations. With autumn around the corner here in the southern hemisphere, I thought it appropriate to use a bit of burn orange as base colour. My designer paper is from Miss Empire from Kaizer Craft and then I used my new corner dies from Marianne's design for the first time. The heart circle die is from Spellbinder. I used some of the punched hearts and added some glitter to used with the corners. Some perfect pearl gives the corners a bit of life. I also found the label and button in my forgotten scrapbook stash.

Glitter 'n Sparkle #77 - Add some blue

Good day

Sunday means it is time for another challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle. We had some great entries for our add some green. This time we chose another cool colour on the colour wheel, namely blue. I received Butterfly ballerina from The Doodle Garden to play with. She looked spring ready so I chose paper from Spring drop collection from First edition. I mainly used plain pink with it as well as a Cuttlebug emboss folder for the embossing. My blue is the ribbon and button. The sentiment is my own and says: "A mother is like a fairy, her touch changes everything immediately." This is then a mother's day card.

Today I used Red Poppie Elf for my project, though I coloured the poppies purple tro fit the colour scheme. I has been quite a while for me not playing with my friends at The Outlawz's colour challenge.
My back DP is from Dovecraft's Back to BAsic IV and the other are Day dream from First Edition. The climbing vine is from Memory box and the flourish is from Marianne's design. The rest is from my stash.

For my mother

Good day

Something totally out of my comfort zone. I have used only dies. My hubby spoiled me last WE and took my to the Hobby-X in Johannesburg and I spend some money on new dies, though I only used one new die for today's creation. My designer paper is from Joy Craft's Condolence Paper Bloc, but somehow this colour combo reminds me of my mom.

I can do things that makes you wonder...

This is another stunning image from Mitzi at Aurora Wings and she has a Facebook contest in shades of green. This image came to mind immediately. One thing of Mitzi's image is that it can become a challenge to colour. I played with all my green Aquarelles in this one and added a bit of blue for a shade. Some glitter ends off the image. The designer paper is from W&M and the green glitter handmade paper is from my stash. I used Spellinder's Damask Accent for the leaves and tag. Sentiment taken from Facebook and I got the bow technique from the internet.

You are precious

Good day

One of my friends are celebrating her birthday this coming week, she also love lilac. She doesn't follow my blog so I can post it. I used Lillian from Art by Mi Ran. I did not had a lot of purple in my stash but I found this beautiful shades of lilac, lime and pink. I added a pink angel wire and used a Spellbinder round die and a Marianne's design swirl/flourish. I used different ribbons and the flowers are silver brads. I was inspired by the sketch since it looks a lot like a sun with it's rays....something we didn't see a lot lately. The sentiment is taken from Facebook and directly translated from Afrikaans says: " You are precious because you exist. Not because what you do or what you have achieved, but simply because you are" - Max Lucado

Good day

Slowly you can see spring is starting to show in the Northern Hemisphere with the challenges of spring colours and flowers popping up. Here in South Africa, we had some European weather the past few days.....it has been raining, almost non stop and for us it is kind of depressing. We seldom see more than 2 days consecutive rain, so by day 3/4 we are getting depressed. I even went walking the dogs in the rain this morning to feel better. It gives me some time to craft though.
This is Effie Trinket from Sassy Studio Design and she's the red carpet for this month's progressive challenge over on SSD's Facebook page. The theme is to add flowers. She looks so French, since it is the fashion capital of the world. I was triggered by Crazy4Challenges' colour of show some orchid and this is the last piece of this beautiful designer paper. The Eiffel Tower and Handbag is from my Sizzix Hero Art stamp & die-cut set. The sentiment is from Desert Diva and is Afrikaans for Happy Birthday! Flowers punched with X-cut punches and I added some rhinestones.

Piano maestro for Glitter and Sparkle's add a sentiment

It is time for another challenge at Glitter 'n Sparkle challenge. This time it is a bit of creative one....just add a sentiment....whether it is usual or a bit funky.....just add a few words.
I made one of my favourite theme projects: music. This sentiment is from Digi Darla's, one of our sponsors this week. I added Kit 'n Kaboodle, since he seems like a little maestro that can just maybe play the piano. The designer paper is from Hot of the Press' Forever Christmas Cards paper stack. I used a Cuttlebug piano emboss border with a Fiskar border punch and a Spellbinder Shapeabilities Diamond Strips and accent in the corner with some note brads on the left.
