Twisted pop up card fro a coffee lover






Good day

One of my close friends celebrated her birthday lately and I made this twisted pop up card for her. She loves coffee, so I had to be creative since I do not have a mug die cut. So I used the bottom part of a dress with a piece of a swirl to create the mug/cup. I used some dry embossing with foil on the mug/cup and on the sentiment - that still come from my French days - I used some ink smooching on watercolor paper, - I used Alcohol ink in stream & Ruby and pearl in pearl & lake. I also used some glitter spray mist over all the inks - then I cut the center piece out with a label die after the paper has dried. I used a bigger die of the same lot and used an emboss folder from Marianne's design. Add it to the back and made a frame from a lighter blue that fitted insight the first cut. Added the mug/cup and the sentiment with some silver brads.
The inside I used papers from my stash and some Bugaboo digital images that I have coloured with my prisma pencils.

Happy Season Greetings




Good day 

This is a bit of belated post for our new challenge at Creative Moments. Barbara have found a new sponsor - Mirtillamente - and they have some fun images. I used Catherine Christmas for my project. I have coloured her with my Prisma Pencils. I used some papers from my Christmas stash and a die cut form Marianne's design. Added some green rhinestone 3x3 of them and a peel-off sentiment.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with Polkadoodles

Good day

On the first Wednesday of the month it is time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We are sponsored by Polkadoodles this time!

Kathie has created to lovely and easy sketches this round and with Christmas around the corner I decided to make a few festive cards. Sometimes it is very difficult to make Festive Cards with all the available images. We are in the Southern Hemisphere and have summer holidays over the Festive season, so Snowmen and snow does not correlate with us. But I've used some animals that you do find here.


For my first sketch I used a normal image called Too cute owl love, that I coloured with my Prisma pencils, but use some papers from my Christmas stash as well as a bulb die cut from my stash with some ribbon.

Creative Moments with Cute as a Button sponsoring






 Good day

We started a new challenge at Creative Moments and as usual our theme is anything goes. We are sponsored by Cute as a Button this round. I have used the image "Baby Boy" and is made my card for a friend's daughter whom is pregnant but do not know yet what gender it is. We all hope that it will be a little boy. I used paper from my stash and played with my Fiskar texture plate with hands and feet for the inserts. I then used some glittered wet/heat embossing on the dry embossed images. Sentiment is just best wishes for her time!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 # 217 with Sheepski




 Good day

Here are my DT project for Sweet Sketch Wednesday2's second sketch for this month. I love decorating gift bags as alternative to cards since I can make it more personalised than what you would normally get in retail. For this one I went with a boy's theme and used Determination from Sheepski design. I have boys and I love adventure. Our lovely sponsor for October. Paper is from my scrapbook stash and I tried to extend the paper to the background of the image. I used some Fiskar hand punches for the feet and the hands. The sentiment is from TLC.

Turning 50 in style




Good day

Another 50th birthday is on the cards. This time I made a gift card holder in a form of handbag. I have this lovely paper from my scrapbook stash and it just fitted the theme. I used a Beccy's place tutorial for this. I used a little piece of Velcro to keep the piece together. Further added a Afrikaans sentiment die cut in front and a little bow embellishment.
