You can become a star

Play Date Cafe

The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

QKR digi #12404 (flying to the moon) project

Good Day

First of all, happy 4th of July to all by blog friends. Hope you have a good time with friends and family!

I'm abusing a bit of the winter school holidays by taking time of to do some crafting. There is some cool grey weather moving in, that gives me more reason to be creative. This time I decided to do a boy card. This is one of QKR's digis that I won a time ago. It fitted the stars and stripe challenge going on, lately. My designer paper is from BoBunny's detour collection. I've printed the sentiment directly on the card stock.

Challenges I'm joining:
Cute Card Thursday #276 - Stars and stripes
The Play Date Cafe - Trend-Setting Colours
The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch SC070313 - Sketch
Tuesday Throwdown #154 - Stars and stripes
Cards und More #85 - Travel / Adventure

A Yellow Poppy

Good day

Today I've used a digi from Wax fruit company, which I received through the Crafter's digital art center's progressive challenge about a year ago. At first I had more a CAS style card in mind, but as the time passes it became a bit more detailed. It is the first time I use some paper from my BoBunny Serenade stack. I also got this die cut from Spellbinder yesterday and is called Adorning Squares. The yellow was cut with large deckled rectangles from spellbinder. Ribbon from my stash.

Challenges I was inspired by:
Dynamic Duos #59 - Basic Grey with yellow as my choice.
Anything goes Challenge #96 -Flowers, stripes and check (being the yellow ribbon & bow)
Crafty Catz #189 - Say it with flowers
Digi Haven  - Fun with flowers
Artistic inspiration #48 - Anything goes
Paperminutes #276 - Die cuts

Thank you and have a fabulous day!

Thank You, Desire

The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge

A Die for a Sketch

My centre step card

Close-up of image from a Day for Daisies

Good day

First of all I want to thank Desire, Doing Life, for her inspiration. I have been following her blog now, for a while and I think centre step cards are her trademark. Also the flower fold is one of her many embellishment tutorials.

Secondly, I was asked to be guest designer for the month of July over at the Outlawz' Tuesday colour challenge. These are a bunch of super talented and supporting ladies together. I just love playing with these colour combo's and the added twists every week and if I had to miss it, there is a hole in my week.

Now, to my project. The designer paper is from Le P'tit bloc from Toga, the image is this week's freebie from A Day for Daisies. With the twist of adding a girly image, she came in very handy. I used two different shades of chalk for distressing the image and I used a dirt pink on the burgundy too. I used a glossy ivory coloured paper for the flower and added some chalk and ink distressing to the edges and finished it of with a brad. Die cuts I used are from spellbinder. Lace and ribbon from my stash.

Challenges I'm joining:
Catered crop 30/6 - Die cuts / punches
ABC Challenge #35 - Anything goes
Digistamp4Joy #70 - Paper folded embellishments
Cupcake Craft #249 - Anything but square
Dream Valley Challenge #60 - Handmade embellishments
ART Card Challenge #3 - Anything goes
Created with Love #48 - For the girls

Thank you for the visit and hope you come and join us at the Outlawz colour challenge!
Have a fantastic

A CASual wedding anniversary

 Sentiment from Digistamp4Joy
My project
The Play date Cafe colours
Sketch from ART

Good day

Lately I had to page through the challenges without having real time to play. This morning though I decided I really need to be creative. Since I am playing against time once again I decide on a CAS style card. Not my forte either. I used one of Margy's latest Afrikaans wedding sentiments from Digistamp4Joy, saying Happy Wedding Anniversary. I just love the wheat in the corner. My designer paper is a off-cut from All dressed up stack from DCWV.

Challenges I'm joining:
ART #2 - CAS sketch
CASual Fridays CFC106 - Over the edge
Play Date Cafe - One Zesty Colour Combo
4 Craft Chicks #147 - Sentiments only

Thank you and have a fantastic day!

May sunshine & laughter light your way

Good Day

I have mentioned yesterday that I still have a project to share and then I got occupied with other stuff. Again I used the Play date Cafe's colour combo from the 30th of May, but due to all my computer hick-ups I can no longer join them. I am still in time for a few other, though. This time it is the last of the CDAC progressive challenge's freebie digi for this quarter. This time it is a Hawaiian girl from Back to Paper. The sentiment I've taken from Desert Diva and the papers are from my stash. Die-cuts I've used are from Spellbinder and the flowers I digged from my stash.

Challenges I'm joining.
Card und more #83 - Sketch
CDAC progressive challenge cdacbtp
Robyn Fetish #163 - Die-cuts and or punches
