Good day

This is a quick share for a special requested 60th birthday card. I just love this image from Dr Digi called Flossie's day out. I used papers from Mintay papers' Country Fair. I used some distress technique throughout the card to blend in the background. A cuttlebug emboss border on the left with some eyelets in right top with a lovely sentiment.

Time for new sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Good day

I'm the host for this month's sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and as DT we decided to add a twist from time to time to add some spice to the sketches, though it is an optional. I decided to use some autumn colours, since it is the start of autumn in the southern hemisphere. 

For my first card I made a personilised baby card for a friend who expects her 5th grandchild in April and it will be her first grandson. I thought this image was from Di's digis, but cannot find it in her store for reference. So now it is an unknown artist. I used papers from W&M. Coloured the image with Prisma pencils.

Inspirational autumn colours

For the second sketch I used an image from Lisa Twistoon - Balloon for you and this is also a reminder for Creative Moments's Love it or Hate it challenge. Twistoon is one of the sponsors at Creative Moments. This image gave me the feeling as if she regrets something, so I made it a belated card. I used some dies in my stash for the leaves and ivy. Again was the image coloured with Prisma Pencils. This time I used paper from Mintay papers fall festival.

Coffee to warm up for exercise

Good day

On this lovely Tuesday in the middle of February it is time for a new challenge at Creative Moments as always anything goes with the optional twist of love or hate. We have 2 lovely sponsors this month. I have used Margaret Coffee from Mirtillamente. I have coloured the image with my prisma pencils and chose my colours from there. The sentiment is computer generated in Afrikaans and it says that coffee is a good warm-up to exercise. It is actually the 2 thing I love - coffee and exercise. The lady looks so cozy in her sports wear. I played with an emboss folder from my stash for the center grey, some neon pink paper added some colour with the black and grey.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 - For my men

Good day

It is the first Wednesday of February and it is time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. As DT we decided to make it a bit more interesting and add a twist to our challenges. As it is February we would love you to use our sketches with a love theme. Well it would not look like mine is not a love theme, but I sure do want to send some love with it. 

For the first sketch I used a clipart, since I did not had an engineer in my image collection. My youngest will leave house this weekend to start his university studies to become a mechanical engineer. So this is just to wish him luck on this new chapter of his life. I used papers from my stash and dies from Nellie Snellen with some sentiment that I have found on the internet.

Consequences of love!

Good day

After a hectic January I hope my February will be a bit more calm. Also a new phase in our lives, since after 20 years hubby and I will be alone again. 

This is a little card I made for friends of ours. They are expecting their first one. This is just to wish them well in this time of preparation for the little boy on it's way. I used an image from Cute as Button called Baby Boy. I've coloured the image with my Prisma pencils. I used a Fiskar emboss plate for the feet and hands and added some liquid pearl. Dies are from Nellie Snellen.

It is time for a new challenge at Creative Moments with some new stuff for this year. From now on we will be a monthly challenge on the 15th of every month. Further more we will have a twist every month with the normal anything goes. Super excited for the twist. Sometimes it just give that extra boost for ideas for a project. This month we start of with a sketch and the lovely Beccy's place is our sponsor. I used gone fishing silhouette and sentiment. I kept it simple with the black and white with some paper from Eline's ocean paperstack for a water effect.

Stitching

 Good day

This New Year is a week old and for a lot of us it started with a bang. We had some exciting news and some very heart broken news so far. Hope your dreams and plans for 2022 realize and that life will treat your gently.

I made this for a friend of mine that is actually a quilter. The image is from Di's Digis and is called measure up mice. The papers are from Stitched with Love. A new paper stack from my Christmas goodies. I used the thread dies from Lena Nielsen for the first time, though I had it almost a year now, as well as Crealies and Spellbinder. Some off-cuts, ribbon, lace from my stash as well as eyelets. I used some crosses from a negative die for the edge. The sentiment - May your stitching be beautiful and flawless on this Birthday - I have found on the internet.
