It's a Boy

 Good day

There is a little boy that will make his appearance in a couple of weeks time. His grandmother asked for a card to celebrate the beginning of his life. I decide to take a little verse from my Inspirational Station and this one really sums up a little boy's life. Since mine are on the stage of biking by and soon they will be out of my house. I used some die cuts from Cuttlebug. The "It's a Boy" sentiment is confetti that I got when my boys were born. On the navy I used a Cuttlebug emboss folder with some vehicles on, from there my inspiration for the bike and it is in the phrase as well, and the turquoise is from Lady Pattern Paper Twinkle toes selection. with a little leftover dotted ribbon in the middle.

Time to clean house

 Good day
It is time to add some humor in our lives. It was live creative day on the 14th but here in the southern hemisphere spring is also starting to show new growth. That means we have to do some spring cleaning in our houses. Though I'm still postponing that a bit. My husband is still busy with an upgrading project. So I used Stella clean with Vodka to support my way of cleaning currently. 😃 Papers are from Marianne Design Celebrations. Ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash.

A goodie bag for Creative Moments

Good day

Today I'm delighted to share a goodie bag that I have made for a young lady. At Creative Moments we always have a theme of Anything goes with an optional twist this round for make it funny. This face and my colours of choice does not necessarily reflects the sentiment. I used Bug Bird 01 for my image as well as a Bugaboo sentiment. Image was coloured with Prisma Pencils. I used washi tape in the background and made a nice bow with the blue and purple ribbon. I have soften the edges with some ink distressing.

Reach for the Stars

Good day

This is another motivational card. I just had this idea in my head when I saw the sketch and color combo and I am trying some new techniques lately, but I think I need a bit more practice in this stenciling technique. I used some Sizzix dies for the hot air balloons and sentiment. Sentiment is in Afrikaans and says Reach for the Stars.

Stella Says Sketch has a new sketch

Good day
 On this lovely Sunday in the beginning of September. Here there is new vibe in the air. Nature is slowly getting out of her winter sleep and my big oak trees shows sign of new life. It is also time for a new sketch at Stella says Sketch and we are back to our fortnight sequence. I used Charlie Birthday for my project! I have printed it a while ago for another project, but it ended up to be used for the sketch. I have coloured it with my Prisma Pencils and used the neon pencils, that are not normally used. Added some liquid pearl dots, part of my latest stash. I used a Spellbinder Die for the back frame.

Breathe. Let Go.

Good day

Another thinking of you card. This one is for one of my boy's friends. I took a sentiment from Oprah Winfrey this time. Sometimes I think when you are in a certain situation it can be just so overwhelming that you can only breathe and let go. I think the preliminary and final school exam is often one of those moments. I played with lagoon, mink and nectarine and a Spellbinder die with some flowers from my stash. Simple, but she love simple things.

Learning is a treasure

Good day

Our matric children can actually look forward to end their academic year after a very disordered year. A year that should have many highlights and lowlights with a lot of expectations from Class 2020, they will go down in the history books as the year they survived a world pandemic. Probably not what they intended to write in their history books. The trail exams is 2 weeks away.
Today I made a card for my neighbour's daughter. Just something to wish her luck for the next 3 months to come. I used some techniques that I most definitely not use often. I used chalk to blend the background. I used black, blue and purple for the background. Then I used Versa Magic Perfect Plumeria to add some dots with a brush. The dragonfly is an emboss stencil that I used with some watercolour paint. I used a recycled ribbon for the centre. I love to add ribbon where paper meet, it just give a nice finishing touch. I made a bow with a brad as centrepiece. Gems from Prima Marketing with all the colours in add the final touch. The sentiment is computer generated.
