New challenge at Catch the Bug

 Good day

On this lovely Saturday it is time for a new challenge at Catch the Bug! I decided to catch up on a Father's day card, since I have not made any for this year's father's day! I used Gus Tidbits - Flashlight. I have all these love dies of tools and this image just fitted it the best. My husband is an engineer of profession, but loves to fix stuff at home, of which I am very thankful for. I used paper from Marianne design's Just for Men stack. Some kraft paper from a previous project with an ultimate craft emboss folder. Sentiment is from Desert Diva. For the electric drill I made holes and for the hand tools I added brats.

My best friend turns 50 today!

Good day

Today my best friend turns 50! Of those 50 years I was lucky to spent 24 with him. He loves his motorcycle and have a KTM, so I just had to use orange, black and white, and we love to see the world, not necessarily with the motorcycle though and we are children of Africa, kind of earthy. This image from Dr Digi called Flossie's day out I have found quite suitable for this memorable occasion! I have coloured it with my Prisma pencils and some chalk for the distressing. I used paper from my DCWV Safari chic paper stack. I used kraft paper as base paper, thought it will enhance the earthy feeling. The sentiment I have found some while ago on the internet. As embellishments I added the 50 peel off stickers on the side car. I used a Acacia  tree die and add a bear brad, though there is not bears in Africa, but it is the only animal I have in my stash and the coulr fitted the scene.

Fairy Child Forget me not

Yesterday a new challenge started at Creative Moments. This time we are sponsored by Morgan's Art World. I got this lovely though delicate image of Fairy Child forget me not. My designer paper is from Prima Marketing's Moon Child and I added a soft pink in the border with some ribbons from my stash. Image was coloured with my Prisma pencils.

Bee you

 Good day

While I was struggling to finalise some ideas on some projects I decided to finish my bee project with few of my favourite challenges. These bees cut with Xcut dinky die has been on my table for a couple of weeks now. Every time I was to late to finish it for a challenge. Horrible when life happens. I took inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches and Double D to start the project and  it just felt right to finish it.

Good day

Here winter has officially started. Some snow on the mountains in the central part of the country and the rest has a cold wind reminding us of the snow. But in blogland summer has arrived at most places according to all the projects that are posted. 

In the beginning of the month it is also the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Kathie has given us 2 fun sketches to play with.  Bugaboo is our sponsor and the winner will receive 4 images.

I used close knit friends in my first project. I bought some lovely dies (By Lene dies BLD1241) lately that has some hand craft objects like knitting pens, wool, thread bobbins etc. I have a few friends whom love hand craft, so hopefully I'll use them a lot in future. My paper is from Dreams of Autumn by Bo Bunny. So everything just fell in place for this one.

For the second card I used Gus Fish Whisperer. I found this paper in my Eline's ocean stack from Marianne design. I decided to play with the elements on the paper and used a die from Cuttlebug for the fishes. My friend's husband love fishing.
