Searching for a golf ball
Good Day
Gus has been lying on my desk now for ages. When I saw the sketch at SSW, I had a "aha" moment. I just had to put everything together. I made a gate fold card. I've tried to be creative by cutting circles and use my Swiss dots emboss folder, all from Cuttlebug, to make the effect of a golf ball. I also saw this piece of canvass as I went through my stash searching for the papers. Image and sentiment are from Bugaboo.

Today I have played with a Stampin Boutique digi that I have won over at the Outlawz. My first time that I have used it. My designer paper is from Dove Craft's Garden Party. My die cut is from Spellbinder - Label Two. The border emboss folder is Organic Flourish from Cuttlebug. On the wings I used blush and perfect pearl from Perfect Pearl, Ranger. Spring is in the air!!!
Though we are still wrapped in jerseys and jeans, there are certain signs of spring. We have a Cape Wagtail in our garden and after he lost his partner last summer, he has found a new love and they are busy building a new nest. There are also a new growth to be seen on the trees and shrubs. Though we did not had a harsh winter what so ever, but I am always super excited for a new season coming.
You can see it in my project too. I've used some vibrant spring colours from my First Edition Spring drop papers. The digi is from Saturated Canary and Kristy gave it as a freebie a while ago. My die cut is from Spellbinder and for a change I've used washi tape instead of ribbon. I also decided not to add the gems in a row but rather in a cluster on my flowers punched with a clip punch.
Challenges I was inspired by:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #220 - Sketch
Card Crafter's Challenge #89 - Bright Colours
Polkadoodles and Studio12 week34 - All things bright and beautiful

bit of metal works
Good day
It is Friday evening and my men are occupied together. Not often dad can spend some time with his boys. Now, I'm using the time to post my latest creation. Not quite my style....steampunk. I even had to borrow a emboss folder from a friend. I did some distressing on the emboss folder with sandpaper and some ink. The designer paper is from First Edition's New Leaf collection. I bought a piece of faux ostrich leather on a sale once and I picked some pieces of metal out of my stash. On the rectangular spellbinder die cut I printed a metal works border from Carmen. It was a freebie a while ago. The image is Amelia from Sassy Studio Designs on Paper Craft planet. Their new progressive challenge started with the theme of steampunk.

Let your dreams take flight
Good Day
I did struggle a bit with today's project. For somehow the blue just didn't want to come together. In the end it didn't came out to bad. I wanted to try something vintage, but that was after I've printed the image and sentiment on white card stock. Luckily there is chalk and distress inks. The digi was a freebie from Whoopsi Daisy. Just love this little dancer and sometimes I just feel like dancing all night long. So careless. Sentiment is from Desert Diva. My papers are from Graphic 45 's French Country and Secret Garden. I used a Cuttlebug music emboss folder on the cream. The 2 die cuts are from spellbinder, Grommet Tags and Adorning Squares.

Hallo Bunny
Good Day
Today I've taken time off to do some admin. It is way behind, but hopefully it will be up to date soon. Part of the admin is also some crafting. There are a few birthdays ahead, as well as some other cards, like today's project. The sentiment is one of Meljen's freebies and I used a Digistamp4Joy border. Designer paper are from First Edition's Hide away stack. The flower was made with dies of X-Cut and Marianne's Design. I've added twine instead of a border punch on the edge, for something different.

The coming weekend is a long weekend in South Africa. We are celebrating Woman's day and we will be celebrating with the family from far away, that are visiting SA currently.
We decided to give a gift card and I decided to make a little tag envelope to put the card in. I played with the Outlawz Tuesday colour challenge - just could not resist. I made some flowers with my Clip punches. The digi is from Digistamp4Joy, whom is sponsoring the colour challenge this month. The paper is from "le P'tit Bloc" from Toga.

Twilight Saga
Kenny K's Facebook contest with Edward from Twilight Saga
Sketch from JUGS
Good Day
I have to admit I am not a Twilight follower. I actually had to go and Google to see who this guy is and how he looked in the movies. With the twilight theme I thought about black as base colour. These papers from Graphic 45 - French Country, fitted so well with what I had in mind. I used a shapeability - Diamond Strips and accent from Spellbinder for the behind piece and a nestability - A2 Locking loops, also from Spellbinder for the front piece. I used a ochre chalk for the distressing. In the end I hand cut the banner with the sentiment to fit the project. I used 3 black brads and 2 bronze ones, that I had for ages now, as finishing touch.
Challenges I'm joining:
Just us Girls #200 - Sketch Congratulations Ladies...you're all wonderful!
Crafty Boots Challenge - Die cuts
Cards for Men #16 - Heavy metal
