Good Day

We have been to Swaziland the past weekend. It was superb with some great friends doing nothing accept eating and joking around. Hopefully I can post some photos soon.
This morning I made a boy card. I used a freebie from Kenny K, that I got somewhere last year. Though I love his digis I do not have a big collection. But this one suited a boy's birthday card. The DP with some gloss on, is from DCWV's stack all about boys. The sentiment is computer generated and I added some ric rac and buttons.

I played with the same Lily from a Day for daisies, as my previous post, but this time with a black and white card. Though I bought some beautiful black and white paper a while ago, I just felt like something more CAS. I have to admit that these three challenges just came together perfect in this card. The sketch helped me with the Z-fold and the colour fitted perfectly. I was a bit inspired by Sweet 'n Sassy's new March release with their beautiful flower collection. I made a card with the die on top and then glued it to a white brazzille stock which I have folded the Z-fold and just added some twill with 3 brads. I've coloured the image with H2O pencils.

Good Day

Today I'm playing around with my favourite challenges. It has been a while since I joined some of them. With spring breaking in the Northern Hemisphere and the signs of autumn at home, we sure have enough colour inspiration in nature.
I've used a glitter effect and check DP from the Hideaway stack by First Edition. My digi is one lilly from a Day for Daisies. For embellishments I used a lilly clippunch with some gems and MS border punch. Diecuts are from spellbinder and I used some peel off for my sentiment that says "Happy Birthday".

I have to admit that it is becoming a tendency to slide in on a banana skin into challenges. As long as I do not get hurt, I can't see that it is going to hurt anybody.

To my project. I've used brazzille card stock as base for my card. Made three apertures with my spellbinder diecut. For the two butterflies negatives on the side I used some left over brown card stock and in the centre a piece of scrap from my Toga block. The orange is mulberry paper and the brown centre is embossed paper. For the twist of florish I used some wire which I bended as tentacles and added some rhinestones. On top are ribbon from my stash and a piece of leather fastened with two rhinestone brads.

I am busy catching up on all my request. The ladies at EKEF just inspired me with this card. This a wedding card on request. For the first time I tried something new and made a Joy Fold card. The image is from Sliekje and all the papers are from my stash. I played a bit with glittered paper, since it is a wedding card. I really tried to add just a brush of colour and finished it of with some pearls & gems.

Vintage model

Good Day

What a hectic week. One good thing about it...it is in the past now. So, we can just go forward.

My uncle will turn 70 soon and when I saw the challenge over at the Outlawz, he came to my mind. On Saturday when I saw the designer paper, everything came together, I only needed time to make the project. The image is one from Digi my World, the paper is from the DCWV - the foiled elegance stack. The black & corrugated card stock is from my stash. Only as I posted, I saw the sentiment is in wrong corner, but it says a vintage model's price increase with the years.
