The Outlawz Tuesdday colour challenge

Good Day

These are just one of those weeks were everything else needs attention accept crafting. Today I just had to make this project, since I have a friend in hospital whose moral is a bit low. Though I'm a bit frustrated since I don't have any craft blades left. I went shopping but not a single shop in town has any stock available. Must say I really felt lost.
Back to my project. This is a freebie from Beccy's place and she challenged us to make a project using one of the freebies of the month for a project. I played around with leftovers in my stash, like the blue paper and ribbons. I just love the dash of red in the inspirational photo and it made the rose pop, by giving it the touch of red. On the back there is a lovely Irish blessing.

Yes, I don't feel like dancing what so ever. Today I just escaped from reality. A lot of stuff happened lately that really took a lot of energy and I just felt like running away.

This is a digi from Mazy's Art, and I think I got it from the Outlawz's forum and it was really triggered by Desire's unusaul shaped sketch on Monday over at Tammy's scrappin corner and then there are two challenges for inspiration by a song and the Scissor Sisters' I don't feel like dancin' came up. Papers are from my stash and I used some washi tape with a peel-off sentiment, and yes this card will go all the way to France with some special birthday wishes.

Seems a Little Sketchy

Have to admit that sometimes my to do list is just to long....that makes my craft time very short.
At first I thought I will not be able to play a long with this week's unusual colour palette at the Outlawz. But as I opened my blog I saw the Crafty Cardmakers' challenge for a blooming creation and I made this quick project. The digi is from Digi Darla's and I distressed a doilies from my stash and a piece of corrugated board.

Wedding card request

Good Day

With a love-ly week gone by I was asked to make a wedding card. Always lovely to see young people getting married...I always pray they stay that way, since we all want to live happily ever after though it takes a lot of work.
I made an easel card  with this Digi Darla image. I've printed it on a glossy white paper and coloured it with H2O pencil. I did struggle a bit with the request for silver on the card and finally I digged out my peel-offs and made a little silver edge with some silver corners and sentiment. I've used my heart shape Fiskar border punch and Martha Steward ribbon punch with a silver ribbon for the border - the sentiment says For always and ever - Found some doves in my stash.

Hope you all experience some form of love on this Valentine's day. In the mists of red, white and hearts there are people celebrating their birthdays too. My friend is one of them. She loves sunflowers and she said she wants the most beautiful card. Have to admit that is a very difficult request, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I tried my best though.
For my project I used glitter effect paper from First Edition's Hide Away stack. The image is a polymer stamp from Tina Wenke distributed by Stampavie and is called mouse with sunflower.Image was coloured with H2O pencils. I use wet embossing on the sunflower and on the sentiment (Just a message). For the first time I made these quilling flowers and I added some pearls and glued the twine around the sentiment label.

Monochrome white

Good Morning

I have to admit that white on white is slowly becoming one of my favourite challenges. It is so fresh and clinical and I just love to play with different textures. It is challenge two of Beccy's place's birthday bash and she is giving us the challenge of white on whit with only a sentiment in a colour of choice. But up to date it seems as if we are all playing in white only, it is also Try Stampin on Tuesday's birthday bash - so here is a toast to them all: may they stay an inspiration to us all!!
I did use a diecut from Sissix for my sentiment and a wedding toast emboss folder from Cuttlebug. The designer paper has some roses on the background and I used glitter heat embossing on my Inkadinkado swirls in the corners. A feather, heart hat pin and some beads was added with the ribbon as finishing touch.

To my soul mate

After few days of struggle and interruptions I finally had time to put together my hubby's valentine's card. I used a freebie from a week ago from Sassy design studios called ballroom babe. The heart, sentiment and key are from Shelly's image's valentine bonus challenge. By accepting the images you commit yourself to use it for the challenge. The swirl is from Marianne's design, flowers, ribbons, paper & pearls from stash and I used a Fiskar heart border punch. Images coloured with H2O pencils.

Beary nice day

Beccy's place have a birthday bash. I just adore her images and thought I'll join in the fun ,although I'm sliding in on a banana skin, since there is only few hours left.
I've coloured the image with H2O and used 2 different diecuts. As finishing touch I added two sunflower eyelets.

Just for love

My busy weekend is something of the past and hopefully things will slowly get to normal, meaning more time to craft. With Valentine's day round the corner I made a card for my other boy. I'm still playing with ideas for my husband, since my original plans have to change due to a visit from his boss. 

Back to my project of today. This is Ava & Deacon from Bugaboo which I coloured with H2O pencils, played with a few diecuts and a Fiskar corner punch. The heart designer vellum is from my stash and I used 2 heart brads to keep it to the card stock and a heart charm, just for love.
