Hugs & Kisses

Hugs & Kisses from Saturated Canary

Good Day

I took some time off this afternoon to create a valentine's card for my boy. Krista gave this cutie as a freebie last week. I printed her immediately and knew I would use her soon. The glossy striped DP is from the all about girls stack - DCWV. I used some glitter on the edges of the hearts and I have found these satin hearts in my stash.

When two hearts become one

 My project
Close up on hearts

Added glitter on embossed bells

Come and Get it Challenge

Good day

I've decided to make more wedding cards this year and suddenly a lot of people I know, decided to get married. This card was mainly inspired by all the gorgeous white on white creations in blogland and The Outlawz' Sunday CAS challenge. Though this is a CAS project that can take about 15 minute to create, I took almost two days to finish it, due to a lot of interruptions.
I've used 3 different white papers, star ribbon, butterfly spellbinder diecut, Cuttlebug bell emboss folder, some glitter on the bells, the butterflies on the background was recycled from the diecut.

Challenges I'm joining:

Come and get it challenge 27 January - Tic Tac Toe - Glitter, White, Ribbon

Birthday cake?

The Outlawz Wednesday sketch
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge
 Catch the Bug January Bingo

Good Day
It is kind of weird to think, but my boys are growing big now. The first one got an invitation to a girl friend's birthday party and it is not a family friend. This gave me an opportunity to make a girl card. I've used one of my latest editions from Bugaboo. One of the challenge also requested to make your own designer paper out of strips of paper. At first I had more a weaving effect in mind, but decided against it and used this indiana paper. It is two different papers of which I've cut some strips. In the corner I match the same dotted paper from Garden Party from Dovecrafts. On the cup cake I added some pearl paint to give the icing a nice glimmer.

Tall or short cacao?

Good Day

I have been busy lately and I am super excited about things to happen, although there are some jackals in the vineyard too. I'll try to keep focus, since all obstacles have an expiring date.

This time I've tried my hand to another CAS project. I've used Bugaboo's cacao cup.At first I had a red label, but it hide the image, so I change my mind and made an acetate label with some peel-off best wishes.

I hate alarm clocks

Good Day

When I chose this digi - alarm clock Stella - originally I had my stepdaughter in mind. She is no morning person, although she has chosen a career where she has to start at 5 o'clock in the morning. Wednesday challenge at Bugaboo request something funny. This is totally, but totally out of my comfort zone. But I have tried. Luckily you get a sentiment with the digi, that makes life easier. I have incorporated a clock stamp from Toga as embellishment. The twine and raffia are from my stash and paper is from Basis Grey's lime ricky pad.

At first I had another digi in mind, but I got a request for a girl card and thought this one will suite best. I added her name on the envolope. I just struggled a bit with the embellishments and in the end I used 3 bows and brads. I added some glitter on my balloon brad. Paper was freebies from Crafter's companion in a magazine. Border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Bugging around

 ABC Challenge - Inspiration Photo

Feeling Sketchy

Hallo

At the birthday bash over at Bugaboo Monday's challenge it is Black, White and a splash of colour. I'm currently playing around with Ladybugs for a friend of mine's daughter's baby shower. She is expecting a girl, but she is not into pink, ribbons and lace so she decided on Ladybugs for the baby room. Now, it is a challenge to make the baby shower in the same theme. Thou, my project is not for the baby shower yet. I'm still waiting for final request, but it is good to make the mind wander.
I played with some sentiment from Desert Diva and came up with this image. I've found washi tape at a local home store the other day and when I saw The Outlawz's Sunday CAS challenge for inspiration by music I thought this will do. I've just added a wooden Ladybug.

Challenges I used as inspiration for my project:
Catch the Bug Monday's Challenge - Black, White and a splash of colour
ABC Challenge #12 - Inspirational photo
Feeling Sketchy #42 - Sketch
The Outlawz Sunday CAS CAS011313 - Inspired by music
Digi Darla's Challenge #45 - Anything goes

30Th Golfer bash

Good Day

Wow, Monday once again. It sure feels as if time flies. I finally had time to make my friend's request for a 30th birthday card. I used this golfer, that I got from a internet colouring book and cut off all tags. Apparently he is a big golfer and this is the only digi that I have in my collection. The 3D golf sentiment and golf ball, I recycled from a card my husband received a while ago. The checked paper is from Hideaway stack from First edition. I used my Swiss dots embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and the numbers is done with a Sissix diecut. The sentiment in Afrikaans says happy birthday and I used the wet embossing technique

For the love of Blue

The Outlawz Tuesday colour Challenge with the twist of texture
Tuesday Morning Sketches

My Project

Good Day

We have experienced a heat wave the last few days, the school started and I was occupied with stuff. I did find the time to make this quickie.
My brother got engaged last weekend and as a crafter any reason to make a card is a good reason. I'm not hot on hearts and romance, though I'm a sucker for romance itself.
I've found this heart embossed blue paper in my stash. The heart border punch is from Fiskar. I've also used script embossing from Fiskar for the love sentiment. The centre border is from Spellbinder Damask accents. One of my new sets I bought in November last year and the first time to be used. I added a touch of glitter on the love as well as some rhinestones. A congratulations peel-off and heart charm finish the project.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge CC0801 - White, At least two shades of blue with twist of texture
Tuesday Morning Sketches #180 - Sketch
Elke Kaartje Een Feestje #149 - No Image
Cute Card Thursday #251 - Beat the blues
Cupcake Craft Challenge #224 - January Blues

Hope you have some clear skies where ever you are.
Enjoy the moment - it will not last forever!
Hugs
