Saved Edwin

Early Good Morning

This project has been on my desk for a while and it finally came alive with the help of the sketch at Just Magnolia. I've used a bit of blues to go with the feeling of ocean and finished the card off with twine and some anchor embellishment and sentiment, not to much since it is for a male friend.

In South Africa we celebrate 17 years of democracy today, so a day to relax and just maybe.... do some more crafting.

Have a great day.

Hero of the day!

Hallo

This was a card that came suddenly, that is a bit out of my comfort zone. With a bit of guidance from the girls at 365 Cards with their new Super Sketchy Sunday and with the Cricket World Cup and the current IPL series in India and a request from my boy. I really had to dig around in my cupboard and internet to come up with this card. The flags is from a packaging and is a bit bended and it is not necessarily only from cricket playing countries. The sentiment: You're the hero of the day is my own and a first for me is stiching on paper and I will definitely do it again in future.

Now I can relax and chew on my next project.

Hope you have a super Easter Sunday!

Thoughtful Froggie

A quick hallo on this Saturday morning

I've made a card for a friend far away who celebrates her birthday soon. I've joined the girls at Penny Black at Allsorts monthly challenge, who have the challenge of black & white + one. This froggie, from the toadily happy series seems as if he is day dreaming of greener pastures. To emphasise the sentiment I used Fiskars heart punch and finished it of with some ribbon and stones.

Have a warm Easter Saturday!

Vintage Birthday

Hallo Again

Today I've tried to be more creative and I'm entering for 3 challenges. I have used the sketch of Cardmaking and Papercraft, the birthday card color scheme with a twist from Just us Girls, with aqua, black, coral and kraft and Cupcake Craft Challenge, where they required a lot of layers. This is a 3D from Marianne's design vintage series and fitted in with the color scheme as well as the faded coral and swirls on the aqua. The pink brad, was more to compliment the bunch of roses, than to fit in with the coral.

Apple a day....

On this cold african day I thought of sharing this card with you. I really felt for some beading for a change. Since this card's destination is the northern hemisphere were spring is slowly on its way I could not resist using this Sarah Kay stamp called Adele and the green colour of the card was chosen to emphasis the colour of the apples in the basket and the pink, orange and purple to get the feeling for spring.

Hope you have a bright and sunny day!

A rose for a special birthday

Hallo

I've had some inspiration from the girls at Just Magnolia for this card. It took me some time to decide on the colour scheme, but in the end I've settled with this purples and blue. It ended up also to be a card for my stepdaughter, that will celebrate her 18th birthday soon, she also love purple. It is the first time that I've used my Marianne's design Creatable Round and for the sketch I've repeated a single half round on the left of my picture. All the paper is from my scrapbook pile.

May your day be full of roses.

Can of flowers

Hallo Everybody

I had a bit of inspiration to do something different. I used a template for this card and modified it a bit to suite my idea. It is a slide-in card so the part with the flowers on is the message card and the watercan has a fold on the bottom so that it can stand. The flowers is from my 3D collection and the paper for the watecan has some flock on the motif and it gives you a bit of rustic feeling, as a watercan should. I've also done some embossing on the watercan.

Hope it brings a smile and a lot of good luck.

Japanese Best Wishes

Hallo Everybody

With the weather changing, leaves are falling and there is a chill in the air and the children away on holidays, I had some time to get updated with some crafting.

This week I would like to take a chance on two new blog challenges I've visited, Just Magnolia Fridays and Just us Girls Challenge.

The latern and sentiment carton stock I got with a magazine, sometime ago and I could not resist to use my Japanese Tilda with it. As base I've tried the schetch of the Just us Girls Challenge and the paper and button are from my drawer.

Hope you have a sunny day!
